My last blog on "Models Behaving Badly" recapped some of the less-than-stellar model homes I toured last week. 
I wanted to expand on the maintenance of the models - I learned from the best - David Weekley Homes - when I worked for them as a sales agent.  We spent quite a bit of time in training covering daily maintenance; every day, you:
Turn on all lights Change out burnt bulbs Fluff pillows Straighten pictures/art Check for debris (gum wrappers, cigarette butts, etc) See something damaged?  Ding in the wall?  Crack in the baseboard?  Let your field manager know ASAP! By … (0 comments)

We all know the real estate market is not at its peak right now, and many home builders are cutting back on expenses, marketing, and "frills" to make ends meet.  It's starting to show, and not in a good way!
I spent some time last week touring Model Home Complexes for a few local builders.  I wanted to let the sales staff know about our furnishing service, as well as see what builders and decorators were showing.  Let me tell you - it's not much!  Many of our local home builders are not furnishing their models, or only doing what looks … (3 comments)

Hey, Phoenix agents!
Do you have a home builder, condo conversion, or apartment connection? 
I am looking for an "in" to furnish a model home or homes.  I recently went up against Robb & Stuckey for a home staging project at Northshore - a high-end Tempe condo - and came in at 80% below their price!  This $900,000 condo shows so well, the sales staff now shows it as a model!(BTW - the install cost was $22,000 and included accent paints, a 37" LCD TV and 2 26" LCD TVS!)
