Larger Baton Rouge Homes Sell For Less Per Sq Ft, Example Kenilworth Subd
BATON ROUGE HOME BUYER LESSON: As a potential Baton Rouge home buyer, you should be aware of the fact that the market or buyers generally pay less per square foot for larger homes and that this is a general rule of thumb in real estate nationally. If you see a listing of a home in a subdivision where that home is much larger than the average home in a subdivision yet priced equivalent to the smaller homes, then you should be on guard about the pricing. baton rouge real estate: How did Cedarcrest Subdivision Baton Rouge Home Prices Perform in 2013? - 01/11/14 05:34 AM
How did Cedarcrest Subdivision Baton Rouge Home Prices Perform in 2013?
In this Baton Rouge Subdivisions update, I'm answering a question from a local Baton Rouge reader about Cedarcrest home prices since Hurricane Katrina when home price reached $150,000 median sales price.

In 2012 and 2013, Cedarcrest has been correcting BIG TIME from post Katrina highs. In 2007, the Cedarcrest Median Sales Price was $150,000 and in 2012 and 2013, it was only $90,000 and $108,450.  Now, it's noted here that 2012 was an especially slow sales year for Cedarcrest as 2011 and 2013 both had 8 sales.

Carriagewood Estates Baton Rouge Question: Has Sold Price Declined?
NOTE: I do want to say that the mood and construction progress was upbeat as of my drive through tour in November 2013.  While home selling prices may be lower than in 2007-2010, the enthusiasm to live in Carriagewood Estates appears to be strong.  With the exception of Mallard Lakes, Carriagewood Estates is possibly the second most upscale, luxurious development in MLS AREA 43!

How to fix Baton Rouge Builder & Architect Mistakes On Too Small Carports
Here's what one Baton Rouge homeowner had to do to be able to park 2 cars under their carport....and, they should have NEVER had to go to this extra expense to do so!

No, this isn't really an attractive "fix" for a Baton Rouge Carport, BUT the owners wanted to be able to park 2 Autos under their carport when both the Builder and Architect provided them with a carport that was too small to park two (2) autos under...a very common problem in Baton Rouge … (0 comments)
