properties for sale in bridgewater nova scotia: MONDAY FUNNY....REAL ESTATE HUMOR - 06/20/11 01:29 PM

I found this funny nugget from Michael Crauso and thought I would reblog it. You may have heard it before. It is a tale of ingenuity. A good giggle is medicine for what ails you.
Monday Funny....
A broker was dismayed when a brand new real estate office much like his own opened up next door and erected a huge sign which read,  "BEST AGENTS"He was then horrified when another competitor opened up on his right, and announced its arrival with an even larger sign, reading, "LOWEST COMMISSIONS"
The broker panicked, until he got a great idea. He put the biggest … (4 comments)

properties for sale in bridgewater nova scotia: Recent Changes in the Real Estate Market - 06/16/11 02:33 PM
Recent Changes in the Real Estate Market in Nova Scotia, Canada
Maximum amortization Periods have dropped from 40 years to 35 years to 30 years. This means larger monthly mortgage payments. As a result, it is more difficult for new buyers to afford a mortgage.
Nova Scotia prices have dropped 1% to 2% in the past year. A house that sold for $100,000 is now selling for $98,000 or $99,000. Even with the price drop, Nova Scotia housing is still overvalued by about 7%. This according to Benjamin Tal at a recent address on housing markets & local economic trends. properties for sale in bridgewater nova scotia: If a picture is worth a thousand words, what is this worth? - 06/12/11 01:14 PM
If a picture is worth a thousand words, what is this worth? Have a closer look. What do you see? Are those trees evergreen or coniferous? Is it a mini forest growing out of the rocks and the water? Are those trees? Or are they something else? Tell me what you see.

I was intrigued by this scene. I thought it looked like a treescape. Those "trees" are actually small plants about 6 inches high. I don't know what they are called, but they are growing quite happily in the Medway River in Queens County, Nova Scotia.

properties for sale in bridgewater nova scotia: Pricing is the Key. - 03/11/11 09:56 AM
It is so hard to effectively price a home in a semi-rural area. There is so much difference from house to house and property to property that it is difficult to find truly comparable properties. Home owners seem to have a difficult time understanding the value of location and expect to get city prices. Often, they price their homes too high and have to wait a year or maybe two for a sale. In the end, they accept a price that is probably lower than the offer they would have had many months sooner, if they had realistically priced their home.
