river: The Passing of Summer

Well, it has finally happened. Summer has started the last lap of the season and many people are sad to see it end. But not me. I'm a winter person. Colder the better. But that's another story. During the summer there is so much going on that we sometimes lose sight of all the things that there are to do - right in our own backyard. All those little things that we take for granted. I'm guilty of it, as I think are most people. While we were dealing with some family issues the last concert of the season took place on the (15 comments)
river: Grey skies, Peaceful river

The past couple of days around here has been grey, hot and humid. Some of the rains have been rather heavy. All in all the outdoors has not been much inspiration - and sunshine has been at a premium. I took a short drive to see if there was a way to recharge my brain and wound up parking at the end of the marina in a restaurant parking lot. As I looked downriver it appeared so very calm - almost deserted.

Well, today is my silly day. I'm tired, I'm frustrated and I need a diversion. So as I walked along the river this afternoon I had a conversation with a couple of Canada Geese. I'm going to leave it to you all to come up with a caption. I know what I think he's saying.....
