ft belvoir real estate: PCS to Fort Belvoir? Check Out Cardinal Forest - 10/08/14 05:48 AM
It seems Edwin Carr the developer of the Cardinal Forest in West Springfield knew the convenient location would attract service members stationed at Fort Belvoir and the Pentagon.  In fact talk about "hyper-local" advertising.  Looks like he had it figured out in 1965.
Guess what?  With  express Metro Bus Service (18G) running through the neighborhood to the Pentagon, Fairfax Connector Service to the Springfield Metro and easy access to I-95 the Pentagon is still easy to get to from Cardinal Forest.  Add in the expanded Fairfax County Parkway and the trip to Fort Belvoir and the new NGA facility have improved.

One of the reason Springfield has been one of the areas of choice for home buyers for over 60 years is the number of commuting options available for home buyers.  Located 20 miles south of Washington DC, Springfield offers home buyers not only the Metro but a commuter rail station, multiple park and ride lots and slug … (12 comments)

Tucked just off the intersection of two major roads in West Springfield is the neighborhood of Charlestown. With tree lined streets, community parks and easy access to shopping and commuter routes, this neighborhood is well worth checking out.
Most descriptions of the townhomes in Charlestown talk about the "dramatic curved staircases" which greet you when you open the front door. What they don't tell you is how much space the townhomes have to offer. There are a variety of models to choose from and the largest models the Concord and the Hermitage offer close to 2600 SF with a first … (8 comments)

Checking out the list to sales price ratio for detached homes in Springfield VA yielded a little surprise. For April 2012 it appears that all three Springfield VA zip codes, 22151, 22152 and 22153 ended up with the close to the same percentage. The good news for home sellers in Springfield homes are selling at close to list price at just over 98%. With days on running between 30 to 60 days it appears the lower inventory is keeping demand high.
