work ethic: The time of year when working until “dark-thirty” isn’t so bad! - 10/05/11 08:32 AM
You can really sense the hours of daylight waning now. It’s a little harder to get out of bed before sunrise, and the entire world seems to be moving at a slower pace.
In the real estate business, we often work until it gets dark. As a matter of fact, in the Summer time the majority of property showings occur after 6:00 P.M.
Now we have to squeeze as much in to the limited hours of daylight as possible. And it won’t be long before we revert back to Standard Time which really slams the door on evening showings.

work ethic: I’m a bit “under the weather,” and I feel guilty about it. - 09/19/10 09:32 AM
I have to admit that I am not operating at 100% this weekend. I have contracted a little bug that is going around and it really has me dragging.

Many employees also work … (31 comments)

I am a morning person. I pride myself on the ability to rise early and get the bulk of my tasks completed while I am rested and alert. I get most of my important tasks completed before noon.
But as the daylight hours dwindle and the nights get longer, I ease into a form of torpor that some might describe as lazy, but I prefer to consider it as the natural rhythm of life.
And as the daylight diminishes from here to the solstice, I'll struggle to maintain a semblance of my productive efforts active. I'll have to battle against every natural … (18 comments)
