texas: The Fort Worth Nature Center - 02/17/07 04:57 PM
Give me a home where the buffalo roam. That can be the Fort Worth Nature Center located in the city limits of Northwest Fort Worth. The Fort Worth Nature Center has a little bit of everything from forests, prairies, wetlands and plenty of wildlife. Besure to plan a day to enjoy nature at it's best and bring some comfortable shoes. It is a great place to take in the fresh air and listen to the sounds of nature. For more information check the Fort Worth Nartue Center out at http://www.fwnaturecenter.org/.

texas: Texas is as Close as I've Been - 02/03/07 10:48 AM
There is a country song with words that say "I may never get to heaven but Texas is as close as I've been." I was born in Fort Worth and I have been in Texas all of my life except for 4 years while serving in the Army. More people are calling Texas home. Some of the reasons for calling Texas home could include, but not limited to the fact, we have No State Income Tax. Aside from having no state income tax what makes Texas a great place to live and especially Fort Worth is the climate, a lot of … (0 comments)

texas: The Barnett Shale Impact on Tarrant County - 02/03/07 10:30 AM
I read an article this week that over 8800 people are working in Barnett Shale Gas Production related jobs. The economic impact on North Texas continues to grow each day. This impact can now be felt in many local neighborhoods with signing bonuses for leasing mineral rights for residential lots starting at $200 and many lots receiving $500 or more, plus receiving up to 28% royalties on future gas production. They tell me drilling rigs are commanding more than $20,000 a day for drilling services. Devon Energy alone accounts for upwards of 6 billion dollars a year going into our economy. Wow! What an … (0 comments)

texas: North Texas Gas Production Inside the City Limits - 01/23/07 08:06 PM
Drilling for natural gas is becoming more common inside the city limits of many towns and cities in the North Texas area. Many towns, cities and even the DFW International Airport have taken advantage of the Natural Gas Drilling boom in the area. City coffers are starting to realize an increase in revenues, first from leasing the mineral rights for city owned properties and then from the actual royalties received from the sale of natural gas. The natural gas thousands of feet below the surface of the earth once hidden in the Barnett Shale is becoming a cash cow for cities … (0 comments)

texas: Farm and Ranch Land near Dallas and Fort Worth. - 01/23/07 07:54 PM
People often think the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex is all city. But there are plenty wide open spaces in almost any direction from the DFW Metroplex. Some rural property is located within 20 to 45 minutes of the most highly populated areas. Farms and Ranch property is abundant. Some properties have improvements including homes and some properties are only raw land. Chances are property like you are looking for is available. One fact is, the closer you are to the Metroplex the more per acre you will spend. If North Texas is an area you are considering buying property in, I am … (1 comments)
