No, it's not something you read every day: polyester party.
However, we had a great time Friday night at the Astoria Hotel in Orange Park!
Lots of polyester, wigs, and disco music, accompanied by a full buffet spread, and a full bar! The buffet included roast beef, chicken, succotash, salad, mashed potatoes, rice - pretty much anything you could want.

We are seeing multiple offers, and even rising prices here in Jacksonville, FL. 
The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors announces real estate market statistics for April 2013. Except where otherwise indicated, statistics reflect combined results for single-family residential and condominium properties.
The story for Northeast Florida’s real estate market continues to be falling inventory and steadily rising prices. Despite those two significant pieces of the puzzle, housing affordability is still remarkably good. Of the 7,869 properties in April’s for sale inventory, the largest chunk (3,119) were priced at $149,999 or below.

Here in the Southeast, we have a little acronym, WDO, which stands for Wood Destroying Organism. It can mean wood rot, wood fungi, termite activity (past & present). Most of us are accustomed to it, but out of state lenders and buyers are not as familiar with it and we have to educate them as to how real estate is handled in our area.

We have all been in the position of hearing acronyms or specific language to a certain industry we are unfamiliar with, and if you recall, you felt somewhat inadequate, or out of your surroundings.
Years ago when I started in advertising for a fast food chain (think billions and billions sold), I was bombarded with acronyms for menu items like QPC (Quarter Pounder with Cheese), SEM (Sausage Egg McMuffin) - you get my point: I had to learn a whole new language. Since it was my career, a learning curve is/was understandable.
