fairfax homes for sale: Closing On Your Home Purchase - 09/16/13 01:03 PM
I have had a variety of experiences at the Closing Table when it comes to wrapping up a Real Estate transaction. Most important to understand is, over 90% of my experiences with clients have been very positive. Sometimes though, there is a hiccup and a problem or problems surface. It can be finance related, something someone overlooked when putting the paperwork together or a question that simply needs to be resolved from the buyers point of view.
I've always tried to prepare my clients for the unexpected, sharing that if a problem is revealed, most times it is quickly resolved at the … (2 comments)

I am thinking this post is probably good for Realtor's or anyone else who takes a moment to read.
My old smart phone died last week after nearly 4 years of great service. In a way it was tough parting with the old phone, but I managed to get through it. (smile) I ordered a new phone and right after it was delivered, I quickly set it up. Running short of time, I failed to test and re-test each app. You guessed it - that included the ALWAYS dependable Home Search App I use for Northern Virginia.
Later, in the morning and … (3 comments)

fairfax homes for sale: A Moment Worth Remembering - 09/07/13 12:56 PM
A few days ago my wife and I had the privilege of spending some time with our Son, his wonderful wife and our beautiful granddaughters in another state. As always we thoroughly enjoyed being with them. We talked, ate, spent some time outdoors, and most of all enjoyed being with our grandchildren, more specifically, our two granddaughters.
The photo below is of course me and our youngest granddaughter. Don't be fooled... Although she enjoys being with Grandpa, it's the food, Trader Joe's Animal Crackers, that I am offering her that has her totally enjoying the experience.

1) Ask your contractor, "Are you licensed? Follow up this question by going to your state governmental site and verify what you have been told. In Virginia you can verify a license by going to the: Department of … (5 comments)
