military relocation: Westwater Point, Springfield VA - Community Profile - 03/07/09 09:59 AM
Not everyone wants to live in a mega townhome subdivision.  For those who prefer the neighborly atmosphere of a smaller community then Westwater Point is a Springfield location you should consider.  Built in the late 80's by the VanMetre Companies Westwater Point is a small enclave of 100 town homes set among hills about 1/2 mile west of Rolling Road with an entrance on the Fairfax County Parkway.  It has quick access to all major commuting routes, I-95, I-395 and I-495 (the Capital Beltway)

military relocation: Middle Valley, Springfield, VA - Market Report as of 2/24/2009 - 02/25/09 09:49 AM

Middle Valley is a community of detached homes sited on 1/4 acre lots.  The homes were built by two highly respected builders, Ryland Homes and NV Homes,  However, the majority of Middle Valley homes were built by Ryland Homes.

No Middle Valley homes have sold and settled in 2009 and a comparison cannot be made with 2008.  It is interesting to note that the average liist price for homes in 2009 is 8% higher than the average list price for homes in 2008.  If this phenomenon continues throughout the year it will be good news for Middle Valley homeowners.

military relocation: Townes Of Orange Hunt, Springfield, VA - Market Report as of 2/19/2009 - 02/19/09 05:57 PM
The Townes of Orange Hunt homes have continued to be popular since they were first introduced.  There are several reasons.  They are all brick, have a superior commuting and shopping location, outstanding schools and proximity to a multitude of recreational facilities.  Additionally, there are large courtyards throughout the community minimizing the proximity one normally associates with town homes.
Since only 1 home sold and settled so far this year it is inadequate to make a meaningful comparison with 2008.  However, the average list price of homes in 2009 is only 9% lower than the average list price of $300,312 in 2008.  That … (2 comments)

Although 2 Cardinal Forest homes have sold and settled in 2009, it is my opinion it is too early in the year to draw any conclusions from the 19% drop in net sales price when compared to 2008.

Cardinal Forest homes are located off Carrleigh Parkway near the intersection of Old Keene Mill and Rolling Roads. Their continued popularity is due in no small way to the fact they are

There are several excellent gymnasiums in the Woodbridge area, but Gold's Gym at The Festival shopping center in Lake Ridge is the most centrally located for Lake Ridge residents.
Additionally. it opens at 4:30 AM and is a favorite with people commuting to the
PENTAGON , WASHINGTON, DC and other National Capital Area work centers since there is a PRTC bus stop just a few feet away. Having facilities such as Gold's Gym so conveniently located is only one of many reasons we have lived in Lake Ridge for the past 26 years and owned 5 properties
