buying a home: Why Real Estate Prices might go up even higher! - 09/30/14 11:32 AM
Why Real Estate Prices might go up even higher!
I caught the National Real Estate Post (NREP) this morning. There are indications that higher housing prices are on the way. I feel higher prices are on the way due to coming inflation, but they had another reason.
You can start your Home Search Here Now!
Per NREP the National Association of Realtors (NAR) says New Housing Starts are only at about 60% of what they need to be. This means there will be even more demand on the resale market come spring.
So why are new Housing Starts not where they … (3 comments)

buying a home: So is the Housing Market Ready to Crash Again? - 09/26/14 11:39 AM
So is the Housing Market Ready to Crash Again?
This is the question I get from many people. If I had a crystal ball I would be rich and not spending my morning writing a blog post, but my general feeling is “NO”!

Home sales have slowed – this is true, but we have gone from the hottest sellers market anyone has ever seen to just a plain Hot Sellers Market. What has disappeared from the market is a lot of the investors buying the low end properties or fixer uppers and flipping them, oh some are still there but … (15 comments)

buying a home: So What Do I need a Realtor For? - 09/23/14 09:41 AM
So What Do I need a Realtor For?
With so much information on line some people do not understand why the need a Realtor. Well as it turns out most over Home Buyers and Home Sellers feel they need a Realtor. Why? The primary reason is to help them with negotiations. But there are other reasons too.
The California Association of Realtors (CAR) prepared this infographic showing what people say the need a Realtor for:

I suspect with some areas, like determining affordability they rely more upon a Realtor than the realize. I know as a Realtor even though I … (3 comments)

buying a home: So Where is the Market Heading? - 08/26/14 10:46 AM
So Where is the Market Heading?

Lately I have been of the opinion that the Bottom of the Real Estate Market is driving the Top of the Real Estate Market.  That is the low end homes are being snatched up fast driving up the price of Low End Real Estate, which pushes the price of the Higher Priced Real Estate up.
Now each and every Real Estate Market is different and the National Real Estate Market does not always reflect the Local Real Estate Market.  But every morning I listen to the National Real Estate Report; and Frank and … (5 comments)

buying a home: Where Do Renters Buy? - 08/26/14 09:35 AM
Where Do Renters Buy?
Renters Buy Homes, but where?  The California Association of Realtors (CAR) took a survey to find out where Renters Buy and prepared an infographic.  Take a look:

I was actually really surprised by the numbers.  I would have assummed that most Renters Buy Close to where they live now.  Neighborhood is not defined, I would have like to have seen it defined as the same town or a mile radius.
If you are a Renter and Considering Buying a Home let Home Point Real Estate Point you in the Right Direction.  As us about great First … (5 comments)

One Key to Rule Them All!
OK, if you do not get the reference you need to see The Lord of The Rings again.
When I bought my first home it was a condominium and long before I was a REALTOR. After a while I found myself serving on the board and being on the board I was given a key to the club house and such. I put it on my key ring with my house key and such.
Many of the keys looked the same. After a while I realized that my club house key was also opening my unit … (5 comments)

Shopping for a Brentwood Home – Take a second Look!

One day I showed him a home, that might have had some negatives for some people but not for them. He loved it … (2 comments)

Garin Ranch Homes in Brentwood Garin Ranch Homes are very popular in Brentwood. Garin Ranch is actually several developments and in people's minds the Garin Ranch area is more than just the original Garin Ranch Developments but includes all the homes on the East Side of Brentwood around Garin Ranch Parkway.
Garin Ranch Homes are very popular with Home Buyers as they have the feel of a traditional neighborhood with mature trees and nice front porches on many homes. Most of the homes are on quite cul de sacs or streets that loop around; eliminating through traffic.

When preparing your home offer you need to define when (or if) you will occupy the home. Post 10 will explain occupancy issues.

If you are Buying a Home in California right on the contract you will have to state if you are buying as an owner occupant or not – generally a Real Estate Investment.
