ginger loves southport: March comes on in...like a lamb - 03/01/11 10:28 PM
March comes in like a lamb here on the eastern coast of North Carolina.  I have always heard that if March come in like a lamb...that it goes out like a Lion.
I do hope that this is not true for 2011.
We need a break here and need for the sun to continue to shine and the temperatures to rise...and for folks to come and see the beautiful North Carolina Coast of Oak Island....in Brunswick County.
Come see us..

American National Parks by Ken Burns Recently we  watched a documentary of American  National  Parks by Ken  Burns.  What a great program.
If you are interested in National Parks of our Country...many of the Public Broadcasting  Stations are re-running this series by Ken Burns
I am excited with the photography and history of them.
It looks very interesting right now.  If you get a chance to enjoy this program, it is well worth it.
Treasure trove of our Natural Resourses..

Today we did our Christmas Cantata at Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport, North Carolina.
It was such an awe inspiring hour filled with the familiar Christmas songs with a new twist.  I enjoyed
doing this concert so very much.  The folks in the congregation gave us a standing applause at the end of our performance.
I feel blessed..

Merry Christmas to all of you.

ginger loves southport: Kathy Matea live in Concert - 12/02/10 11:01 PM
WE have purchased season tickets to our County Auditorium and tonight we had the pleasure of going to hear Kathy Matea, a singer that I knew little to nothing about.
WE were so pleasantly suprised and delighted with her performance and that of her chosen band.  They did an excellent concert and it was a Christmas one...
I think the hit that I had heard of was "eighteen wheels and a dozen roses"...  Guess I have missed out on a lot.

ginger loves southport: Short Sale Disaster - 12/01/10 11:01 AM
Well...no one told us it would be easy.  Again, I find this out. WE have been working on a short sale since February and have just found out that the property does not appraise for the short sale price...Yep...that is right.  The Bank will not accept the amount of the appraised value so our deal is dead.
What do you think is going to happen when I get another offer for the appraised value not?....I know..by the time the bank gets around to accepting the offer...the property will not appraise again. Price are still going down.
The dilemma.

ginger loves southport: Embrace This - 10/21/10 09:49 AM

I just had to share this with you..
A low-budget jewel.
Way cool   This is the new "wear your seatbelt" ad the UK is doing - started by some dude not hired to do it, but because the cause is important to him, he came up with this idea, and now it's being hailed across the world as a 'beautiful' commercial. And now the video has gone "viral" - which  means, has become so popular with the general public that people are forwarding it to friends/family on their own so quickly that it has spread all over  the world in a … (5 comments)

ginger loves southport: Caring Bridge - 09/21/10 12:31 PM
How many of us have friends and family that are facing Cancer or other serious medical problems?
I have learned of an organization called CARING BRIDGE...that allows folks and friends to keep others udated.  I am doing this with my daughter, Meg and a friend names Lloyd.
Sometimes it is better to share these thoughts and feeling rather than keeping them bottled up inside.

So go to http://www.caringbridge.org and check this site out.  It may give you some peace..
