We spent a lovely day outside working... I mean playing... I mean working... in Elk River. I promised my awesome children an ice cream cone after everything was done so we headed to the River's Edge Park after all else was done to enjoy a little treat. The fountains aren't on yet, and there wasn't any play equipment but somehow we managed to have an hour's worth of giggles and entertainment. The natural style stadium seating is so much fun to play on and we enjoyed watching the river float by.During the summer at this particular park the local businesses (3 comments)
elk river parks: Playing... in Elk River

It's an honest goal really. Playing. Elk River has more than 40 parks and recreation spots that they offer the citizens at no cost... and this year we aim to play in every one. It's for the adventure really. The boys love it and so do I...From picnics to quick stops on our way through a neighborhood we are journeying through the 'sweet' spots that Elk River has to offer.
We love this time of year with the weather warming the earth and the sun shining so bright. It's hard to stay indoors and accomplish anything when the outside is beckoning (6 comments)
This park is one of our favorite parks to play in and it must be one of the best kept secrets around.
Complete with picnic area, scenic wildlife area (including pond), a trekking spot (the woods) and a great sized playground it's something for everyone.
With plush grass and a playground that's cleaner than I've seen anywherethis is a great place to hang out with the kiddos and enjoy some family togetherness.
Just out of Elk River and minutes away from Big Lake this is a convenient and fun place to play! (0 comments)
