We are now in the peak season of hurricanes. Are you prepared? Do you have a plan? There should be a list of items that you have taken cared of before a storm should strike. Here is a list.
Develop a Hurricane Plan
1. Hold a family meeting- Everyone in the home should know what needs to be done in case a storm should hit. Each person should have a check list so its not all on one person- Things get forgotten that way.

Just a quick update regarding homeowner's insurance. Florida now has 5 more insurance companies writing. Which is great news. Just a quick overview of who is writing
Modern USA Insurance Company- They start in October for homes valued at average of $210,ooo.American Keystone Insurance Company- Writing on homes valued from $250,000 up to $3 million.Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Company- Will take some of Citzens policies nd will look for new business in the fall.Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange Inc.- Will write for homes valued more than $1 million.Source-Florida Office of Insurance Regulation

As you all know Hurricane Season starts June 1. Right around the corner. Here is some information you may need. June 1 also starts tax free week for hurricane supplies. The list below states what is exempt and what is not. This list will also inform you and what needs to be done before any hurricanes hit. Many of us already know this information, but at the same time many of us forget. I hope all of you stay safe this season.
