October was right on par with September's sales in Carova. My belief is still that 2011 will see the most transactions in 5 years, and that this can be the first step to recovery. Total transactions year to date are slightly up over 2010. I am being told that sales are up on the other beaches along the Outer Banks. Now that 2011 is in full swing, we can look pack at the numbers for 2010 and see how well the real estate market was for the 4-Wheel Drive beaches of Carova.  Although the percentages were not as high as I was expecting, we did see an increase in the number of sales bay about 6%. with 39 lots sold and 14 houses. I was predicting more, but I think a lot of December closings have gotten pushed into January. Almost half of the Sales were in the Subdivision of Carova Beach with the second most popular being Swan Beach, followed by Ocean Beach. To see the full … (0 comments)
