Covered porches were a way of life in the 50's, in most of the country; people would sit in the shade and watch the world go by. Porches had rockers, or porch swings.  Now it's decks. It's a desirable feature in newer houses to have a deck. You tend to see a table and chairs on the deck, with ...

In my case, I had moved from Vermont to the Florida panhandle but found, all ...

Heavy rain started sometime well before dawn and pounded down for several hours. By the time I picked up my Buyer's Agent client yesterday morning, it had tapered off to a drizzle and we set off to see several cabins on the other side of the gorge. I live near the Big South Fork national park, ...

On some of the steeper trails, there are outcropping...

What happened to The Dog Days of Summer? It was an unusually cool and rainy spring and it is now a very unusual PLEASANT July! In fact, this run of cool weather has broken a previous low temperature for July 21 in Nashville that was set when Rutherford B. Hayes was president! When the temperature...

Additional Information

I live minutes from the Cumberland Trailhead into Big South Fork National Park, in Spruce Creek Acres, an equestrian community that abuts the park itself. Horses are a major part of daily life here and this is a very active, supportive horse-oriented community. It is a gift to work as a realtor here, listing horse properties and selling horse properties to horse people! We joke that I've probably done more real estate on horseback than off! If you want to "live where you love to ride," let me help you find YOUR Big South Fork horse property .
