breast cancer awareness: Are You Wearing Pink - 10/18/09 03:24 PM
In the month of October, Pink should be worn by mean and women alike -- it just shows that you support Breast Cancer Awareness. Some men feel that they are too macho to wear pink -- are you one of those?  If so, I don't think you are macho at all -- I think you are a jerk. No, you do not have to have had breast cancer to wear the pink ribbon.  It just means that you support those who have and you support breast cancer research. There was an article on Fox News about a bus driver in Illinois … (18 comments)

breast cancer awareness: Breast Cancer Survivor 2-1-0 - 10/10/09 11:34 AM
Breast Cancer Survivor   2-1-0 How many breasts does one really need? Do you need 2?  Do you need 1? Do you need 0? Ok, some of you may feel that having 2 breasts is essential to your well being.  To me, I feel that it depends on your age, how strongly you will feel about this.

I understand that a teenager and a young woman feels that having her 2 breasts is very important.  Heaven forbid, that this person has to make a decision about whether or not to keep them.  I pray for her that she never has to … (16 comments)

breast cancer awareness: Breast Cancer Awareness - 10/07/09 01:49 PM
Breast Cancer Awareness This is the month to raise breast cancer awareness ---this month you will see a lot of pink around trying to raise awareness. Cancer is such a horrible thing ---all kinds of cancer.  We definitely need to keep getting funds for research to try and find the cure.

I will write other posts on breast cancer awareness this month.  You, see, I am a breast cancer survivor -- I am one of the lucky ones. Just recently, I have heard of 2 of my friends who were diagnosed with breast cancer - they did not choose … (12 comments)

breast cancer awareness: Mastectomy or not? - 09/20/09 01:45 PM

Mastectomy or not is a huge question facing so many today --- mostly women, but not just women.

I just felt compelled today to speak to you concerning breast cancer.  There is too much of it to begin with and there is way too much of it coming back.

Watch my message on the video below.

breast cancer awareness: Motivational Monday -- Maybe Questionable - 07/06/09 04:17 PM

Motivational Monday Looking back at the very first post that I put on Active Rain gave me inspiration. This is the photo that I had in that first post (of course, at the time, I called it a blog & only got 4 comments - 2 of which were family).
Looking at this photo makes me realize --- "wait a minute, I had cancer"   Really, being a breast cancer survivor has opened up my life to what is really important.  I do actually forget that I had cancer -- until, I undress -- and then it is very … (30 comments)

breast cancer awareness: Want to Live? - A Personal Story - 03/08/09 02:48 PM

Want to Live? - Personal Story

Personal story for you ladies and men - this story has been told before, but I did not get many comments and it was back in Oct. 2008 when I was brand new to AR.  I felt inspired to tell it again after reading Judy Jennings' blog today. I feel that I would like to share with you the details of my cancer scare----so that it may help or save you or one of your loved ones. Although mammograms are very important - critical- they don't always find the "c" --- I … (5 comments)
