hells kitchen: Manhattan Condos with Pools: Lincoln Square, Columbus Circle, Hell's Kitchen - 12/16/12 04:54 AM
Manhattan Condos with Pools | Condos with Pools in Lincoln Square | Columbus Circle | Hell's Kitchen Last year I published a popular blog about condos with pools on the Upper West Side. Due to the popularity of that post, I was asked by buyers to expand the post to include more neighborhoods and more Manhattan buildings with pools. Today many new large construction developments are including pools, so there are more pools in more condos and condops in more Manhattan neighborhoods than ever before. While a pool … (18 comments)

New York City's Newest Neighborhood begins construction

Phase I Ready for Occupancy in 2015
While Londoner's will be proud this summer when they host the 2012 Olympics in London, Manhattanites can be proud that New York City lost the bid to London several years ago. The center piece of New York City's bid was a new Jets Football stadium to be built in midtown Manhattan at the Hudson Yards. Many Manhattanites neither wanted the stadium or the Olympics here.
So instead of a football stadium and the Olympics New York City is getting a new 21st century neighborhood. What was … (14 comments)

hells kitchen: What's in A Neighborhood Name? "Hells Kitchen" or "Clinton" - 04/26/12 04:22 PM
Clinton - Hells Kitchen - Midtown West - West 50's
Some still argue about the exact boundaries of Hell's Kitchen, but it's commonly considered to run from 34th to 59th Streets and from Eighth Avenue to the Hudson River. The area is also known as Clinton and long-time residents use the two terms interchangeably. Some are proud to call the neighborhod "Hells Kitchen" while some prefer to say Clinton.
Yesterday I was showing one of my listings in Clinton/Hells Kitchen. A pre-war Art Deco charmer at Pembroke, 357 West 55th Street. A one bedroom with sunken living room in a circa … (7 comments)

hells kitchen: Manhattan Neighborhood Market Report: Clinton/Hells Kitchen Real Estate Guide - 02/27/07 12:09 AM
Clinton - Hells Kitchen - Midtown West
Some still argue about the exact boundaries of Hell's Kitchen, but it's commonly considered to run from 34th to 59th Streets and from Eighth Avenue to the Hudson River. The area is also known as Clinton and long-time residents use the two terms interchangeably. East of Eighth Avenue including Carnegie Hall and Time Square is considered midtown west.It has been a long time since Hell's Kitchen earned its reputation - the one from the gang fights in "West Side Story" in the 60's.
