Unlike Olive Branch MS and Tate County MS, Hernando MS did not see any increase in sales over last month.  There were 25 homes sold last month in Hernando with an average sales price of $163,355 and an average days on the market of 92.
Here are the comparisons to last month and same time last year:

March 2009sales:  18          Avg $146,275          Avg DOM 113


Unlike some of the other Northwest MS communities, Hernando MS had more non-distress sales than foreclosures and short sales.

Hernando MS (the county seat of Desoto County MS) saw 18 residential sales in March with an average price of $146,275 and average days on the market of 114.  Here are the comparisons for last month and March of 2008:

The sales were not concentrated in any one specific area but were spread evenly throughout Hernando.
**Note:  44% of the homes that sold in Hernando in March were foreclosure sales.
