Because I am not a baker, can't really you tell what the real purpose of baking soda is.  However, here are a couple of cleaning uses for the baking soda in your cabinet  
Since, everyone knows that baking soda placed in the fridge kills odors.  Here are some baking soda tips you may not be aware of.  
Drains......................
For drains in the kitchen and bathrooms, pour a cup down the drain.  This will keep the drains smelling fresh.  
Fresher Pets..............

 I love lemons in my sweet tea!  I love them in ice water! 
 
 
 
Recently, in an effort to go green and do things to help the environment, I am now using lemons for another purpose.  Cleaning!
Lemon juice can be used to dissolve soap scum and hard water deposits.
Lemon juice can be mixed with vinegar and or baking soda to make cleaning pastes. Cut a lemon in half and sprinkle baking soda on the cut section. Use the lemon to scrub dishes, surfaces, and stains.  A natural fresh smelling alternative- that's what lemons are!

Carbon Motors Corp. will visit the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research next week as it considers where to locate a facility it said will create 10,000 jobs and have a $3 billion economic impact.
 
The Atlanta company designed an alternative energy concept car called the Carbon E7 that is built specifically for law enforcement.
 
The company also is determining where to build its vehicles. The company's site will recreate 10,000 direct and indirect jobs and have a $3 billion economic impact during a 10-year period, said Chairman and CEO William Santana Li.

Furman University will continue its High Noon lecture series in December. The lectures focus on the American economy and will take place at noon at Furman's FYI center in downtown Greenville.
 The December series follows a fall discussion, Politics at High Noon, a weekly series of talks by Furman political science professors.

A new indoor football team in Greenville will kick off next year. It was  announced at at 2 p.m. at the Bi-Lo Center. Since 1998, four professional sports teams have called the Bi-Lo Center home. One was the Carolina Rhinos, a member of the arenafootball2 league, which played from 2000-02.The  team with the longest tenure was the Greenville Grrrowl, an ECHL hockey team that took the ice in 1998. Under former owner Carl Scheer, the team faced bankruptcy at the end of the 2004-05 season. I love to make these!  I have made them every year for Halloween since I was 18!
 

 
 
Step 1.  Pop 2 qts. popcorn - air-popped is best - and put in a large pan.
I have also made this using 2 bags of microwave popcorn.
 Step 2.  Put sugar, corn syrup, butter, 1/3 cup water and salt in a medium saucepan.
Step 3.  Place pan over medium heat and stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil.
Step 4.  Stop stirring and let syrup cook until it reaches 270 degrees F on a candy thermometer.  on until … (8 comments)

So tonight, I stood myself up!  Usually on Friday nights, I take myself to the movies!  Been wanting to see Twilight or 4 Christmases with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon.

 
Preparing for the Charleston Roundtable, I am unable to think of anything else.  So I decided against going to the movies! 
So tonight , the topic of the blog is movies that have put me to sleep.
Some are really good but now if I were to turn them on I would say......sleeper!
