Giving Thanks is an easy way to spread Positive energy

It's so simple, yet how many people do this? All you have to do is give thanks.
Thank you for my home that protects my family and I Thank you for my car that allows me to travel with more ease and efficiently Thank you for my family who loves me un-conditionally Thank you for my friends who are truly there for me Thank you for the gift of Life Also remember to say thank you to others for helping you.  It goes a long way and it's such a … (5 comments)

activerain: Remembering A Mother and Friend of ActiveRain-Carole Provenzale - 12/17/13 01:22 PM
Remembering A Mother and Friend of ActiveRain-Carole Provenzale

Today would have been Carole Provenzale's Birthday. We lost our beloved mother and friend of ActiveRain 3 years ago, yet at times the wound can fee so fresh.

Carole touched so many with amazing love for all here on ActiveRain.  I know she continues share that love by tapping in and supporting you all from other levels and forms of energy. To honor moms spirit, I will be lighting a single candle this evening and invite those who knew Carole or who would simply like to honor her spirit to do the same.
In fact this is a beautiful and … (13 comments)

The Power of ActiveRain by Feng Shui Long Island and New York

It's important to acknowledge and thank those who have helped you reach your goals in life, whether they be personal or professional.   I would like to give a shout out to the developers of ActiveRain and to all those who help contribute to the largest real estate website in the world with their knowledge and professionalism on the various topics they share with us all.

Since taking over for my mother' blog in 2010, The Feng Shui Voice on Active Rain, I have really tried to … (6 comments)

Do you have the Blogging Blues? By Feng Shui LI

commonsenseprovidence.com
Do not deny, we all have the Blogging Blues from time to time. Sometimes you can feel stuck, unmotivated or feel you lack ideas, especially if you are a Newbie to ActiveRain, or just blogging in general.  Maybe you are working hard, but do not see any recognition for the blogs you post. It's easy to become frustrated and for some they just give up.
Success in blogging does not come easy, it comes with hard work and dedication.  I'll admit, writing is not my forte, but give … (9 comments)

Feng Shui Manhattan is now on Google +
( 2011 December challenge Day 12)

Courtesy of Google Plus
Yesterday and today I've started updating my back-link pages to my site, along with various others.  I just ventured onto Google +.  It's so simple if you have not done this yet.  All you have to do is sign in at Google Plus, fill out the basic questions and your profile is created...it's so simple! Then you can connect with friends, family, co-workers, create circles (which I'm still learning about), add photo's and viedos. It has a similar feel to Facebook.

activerain: Breathing Feng Shui by Feng Shui NY consultant Laura Cerrano - 11/02/11 09:09 PM
Words of wisdom from a good friend
Laura Cerrano Feng Shui NY consultant has some sage advice via her friend Michael LaPenna whose blog href="http://wheelchairphilosopher.blogspot.com/" title="The Wheelchair Philosopher">  :) is all about acceptance and being different though the lens of "disability."
"Mikey" wanted to endorse Ms. Cerrano and leave some of his thoughts regarding having the right motivations and right thinking when using Feng Shui principles in your life. Here's what he had to say:
Feng Shui is ultimately about decluttering the distractions and symbolically opening up to possible greatness through design, placement and comfort of and with your Surroundings. And … (4 comments)

activerain: Say WHAT? You missed the New York City RainCamp? by a Feng Shui NY Consultant - 01/15/10 10:30 PM
So did I : (  I couldn't go and I couldn't be sorrier that I missed it.  Fortunately, my daughter Laura Cerrano didn't.  She got to go learn and PLAY and she is STILL talking about it.  She put up a blog but could not post her photos of Raincamp 2010 from her new computer....so here they are.
For a few years she has wondered what my facination with Activerain was/is.  Now she's experienced it first hand---and she's hooked!  WARNING:  Attending one Activerain Camp won't be enough.  You'll want more...and then a little more.
These are some HAPPY CAMPERS!

Before Activerain and NOW.....A Walk Down Memory Lane
What can I say about life BEFORE Activerain?  There have been so many profound changes since I began my journey here and so many stories I could speak of.
Of course Activerain and blogging have had a huge impact on business and that's wonderful.  Still, when I think of this new site I stumbled across in 2006, it was just a SITE I was signing on to; at least, that's what I THOUGHT.
I'd been writing articles on the advice of my webmaster.  Some of them, actually, weren't all that bad.  Sitting at … (33 comments)

You Finally Got a FEATURE-Now USE It!

You just never see it coming.  You write a post, as usual and sign off for the night.  Waking up in the morning, every once in a Blue Moon, you see a little yellow star next to it.  They're rare, REALLY rare-and exciting!  I have long wondered why my Feng Shui posts don't get featured but no matter, you've made the big time!

Home page on ActiveRain.  I usually sign off and sign back on just to double check (after wiping my reading glasses : )  Now, my question is, do you … (37 comments)

activerain: I Got the Surprise of my Life! - 03/19/09 11:55 PM
I got the Surprise of my Life!
Yet ANOTHER "Social Networking" site.  Yes, I know many of you have been on them for a long time but honestly, I can't keep up with it all.  I read all the posts about Twitter (which I am still struggling with) and finally decided I HAD to do it...I joined Facebook.
I remember Facebook when my children were using it.  It kept crashing my computer (and still does!) and I dreaded the thought of trying to figure out yet another site.  I joined, finally-for Business.  And got the surprise of my life.
I already … (40 comments)

activerain: Is ACTIVERAIN the NEW EBAY? by Feng Shui Long Island & New York - 02/21/09 07:27 PM
Is ACTIVERAIN the NEW EBAY?
In the New York State Lotto, they say it takes a dollar...and a dream.  I wonder what the founders of Activerain thought?
When I joined Activerain in October, 2006, it had about 6,000 members.  Wow, I thought, that's a lot.  NEVER did I imagine it would grow to the heights and status it has today with over 136,118 members and a site so loved by Google   http://www.Google.com it is crawled every 15 minutes or so!
I also remember the early days of EBAY.  They started with not much more then a dollar...and a dream.  Just two … (31 comments)

 Activerain:  Benefits VS. Risks
In a recent study due to be published next month by JAMA (Journal of American Medical Association) it was reported that the business/social media website ACTIVERAIN http://www.Activerain.com has reduced both Holiday Stress significantly (82 %) along with what is commonly known as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder).
Preliminary Studies indicate that Patients being treated in both studies reported a sharp decline in feelings of loneliness and isolation and a sharp increase in Business (77%) for those who blogged consistently.
The study found that depressed people were much more likely to get outside and Photograph pictures for their sister-site … (79 comments)

I Am Awestruck by the Activerain COMMUNITY!
Many of us are "addicted" to this site-and can't quite figure out WHY.  We all sometimes let things slide....the wash can wait, the dishes will still be there as we sit and blog and comment for hours on end, often times until we are bleary eyed.
Years ago when I got my very first computer it came with 10 free hours of Prodigy.  I didn't know what Prodigy WAS--I only knew that I had one month to use it.  My friend who came to set up my computer asked me what my "Screen" name … (67 comments)

activerain: A New York City Feng Shui Consultant's Slippery Slide to 200,000 Points - 06/10/08 10:43 PM
Having passed the 200,000 point mark about 10,000 points ago, I simply did not know what to write for this post.  A milestone for me---and a surprise as well.  When I signed onto Activerain in October, 2006, I didn't have a clue what I was getting in to; just another site (or so I thought) for business.  And Activerain has definitely helped my business, what I never expected was the real and valued friendships and encouragement that I have not found anywhere else.
I didn't even have time to start posting until March of '07 and I had joined the Stagers … (45 comments)

activerain: Simple Gestures---And Huge Impacts......by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 06/04/08 07:15 PM
An unexpected phone call, a pleasant email, a small but thoughtful gesture.-like receiving a "Thinking of You" card in the mail. Or just listening to someone who needs to talk.  Simple gestures that we do and don't think much about can have a huge impact on someone else.  In Feng Shui we always believe it doesn't have to be difficult or expensive changes to get the energy flowing in a positive direction.  And that's true in life as well.
I have long told my children it really IS the "Little Things in Life."  And I believe that with all my heart.  … (16 comments)

activerain: Another Activerain SUCCESS Story by Feng Shui Long Island & New York City - 05/15/08 09:43 PM
Yet ANOTHER Activerain SUCCESS Story
I have had more then a few clients find my posts on a Google search when looking for a Feng Shui Consultant in New York and this one was no exception.  Some clients will oftentimes come across one post that strikes them-and they will call you.  From the things you write and the pictures you show they believe you are the person they are looking for.
I know there is some controversy about posting the "before" shots of a home when staging....or when implements Feng Shui and doing a Redesign or "Makeover" and it's a point … (14 comments)

activerain: Gifts of Appreciation to some VERY Special "Rainers" - 05/14/08 07:54 PM
Gifts of Appreciation
I know that most people had the same difficulty.  Choosing just a few people from all the incredible fellow Activerainers has been one difficult task.  I chose two, both of whom are very special to me and have provided me with help, inspiration and encouragement.
Jo-Anne Smith-Belleville, Quinte and Prince Edward Region Real Estate, Ont. , who founded the Inspiration Group as well as Heritage Homes and The Localism Success and Accountability Groups has astounded me with her beautiful, poetic writings which make you feel as if you are right there, seeing everything through her eyes.  She is … (23 comments)

activerain: Some Posts Just HIT You REALLY HARD By Feng Shui Long Island - 11/20/07 09:08 PM
Glancing down at my subscriber list the other day I realized I had over 90 people here on Activerain that I subscribe to.  And when you think about it, it's really NOTHING compared to the amount of wonderful people on this site who's posts I am missing out on.  Still, there are only so many hours in a day.  Thinking  back to when I first signed on and the hundreds and hundreds of posts I've read, there are some that will always "stay with me."  Some were just plain funny, some taught me things I never knew, some shared such beautiful … (44 comments)
