toronto: Berczy Park, Toronto, ON - 11/25/13 01:11 PM
Berczy Park, Toronto, ON
There is a plan to re-design Berczy Park in 2014. When the park was created in 1982, there were few residents; and it was a minimalist park.

Public parks were meant to be green places for people to enjoy, places where children could roll on the grass.

Things have changed around Berczy Park in the last three decades; more than 2500 residential units have been built in the vicinity and more to come in the next few years; making it a small town, within the City of Toronto.

Also, dogs have become … (2 comments)

toronto: Day Trip from Toronto, ON - 05/21/13 09:47 AM
Day Trip from Toronto, ON
Last weekend was Victoria Day long-weekend. Took a day-trip to Kelso Conservation Area, from Toronto, ON. On the way, passed through Milton, ON. Looks like Milton had a housing boom in recent years; saw many constructions sites, so the town is still growing ........ just like the growth of condo construction in the City of Toronto, ON.
The Kelso Conservation Area is a great place for a day-trip from Toronto. You can walk, hike, boat etc.

In1978, a typical two bedroom sold for $80,000 and the maintenance fees were $150.

toronto: Winterizing your home - 11/09/11 09:47 PM
Winterizing your home, yes we have to ……..  although, the last couple of days have been ’balmy’ here in Toronto, Ontario, comparatively speaking of course; the cold weather will soon be here, for sure.
Winterizing your home now, before the weather turns really cold will save you money!
It is best to start with the easy maintenance work.
Check the furnace –the filter should be clean, the thermostat should be working efficiently and the pilot light working properly. Efficiency can be maintained by having the filter replaced regularly, every two months or as needed.

toronto: Trunk or Treat ... - 10/17/11 07:38 PM
Trunk or Treat .....Looks like there are no Trunk or Treat in Toronto, ON. I have not heard of Trunk or Treat before, until I saw the Week 2 –October’s Trending Queries.

Just as homes are decorated for Halloween, Trunk or Treat parties usually take place in a parking lot, where the parents park their cars, lift the trunk hoods and decorate their vehicles. The children then go trunk-to-trunk to be spooked and receive their candy, like spider cookies;    parents and children get to enjoy this family event.

It maybe an alternative to Halloween, and associated with Schools … (0 comments)
