For those of us in the real estate / mortgage business, we're very familiar with the acronym:  P.I.T.I.
NO!  It's not a healthy pocket bread. 
A first-time buyer should know about this, and it's a handy, simple group of letters -- that could save you money and help with your monthly budget planning!
P.I.T.I = Principal, Interest, Taxes and Insurance.
Let's examine it all separately.

I keep reading all about the banks, short sales -- how long they take to close (if, in fact, they do), and what a nightmare this is.  Frustrating to be a listing agent on a short . . . frustrating to be a buyer's agent on a short, etc.  CASH buyers offering full list price . . . never get a response from the bank. 
The blog posts on Active Rain have meet flood level stages now!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read that a local agent has closed over 100 listings this year (to date).
In my monthly association of Realtor(r) rag, I read this and doubted every word.
Yesterday I took about 2 hours and researched this statement.  To my surprise, the comment I read was absolutely correct.
The listings were ALL REO's -- so this agent wasn't a listing wonder.  There was a pipeline feeding the stream.   But, at 122 listings (year-to-date) I reviewed most of them.
Why?
Because I wanted to know what the common thread was.
