Every time we disparage the state of the economy and talk about the terrible state of real estate, we create a self fulfilling prophesy. It is my view that if we are positive, then positive things will happen. There are great opportunities in the market and it is time to stress the positive, and put a bow on it.

One of the most important lessons I have ever learned is not to postpone things that make you happy. Many people I know tell me there will be time to do the fun things later but for now, they are too busy. Busy is a really good thing but too busy is a curse in my view. Tomorrow is coming and at t...

Yesterday, I attended a volunteer appreciation tea at Tanglewood, where I volunteer. The event was very nice and I met some new people I liked a lot. Once the tea was over we were invited to a closed rehearsal of the Boston Symphony rehearsing the Saturday evening program of Leonard Berstein'...

I had a wonderful afternoon at Tanglewood. The weather cooperated, the program was great and then the opportunity to watch a two hour rehersal with the Boston Symphony and amazing artists preparing for Saturday's performance of Candid. Simply extraordinary. When I came home, I found my grocer...

Disclaimer: I love the rain. Today it is really coming down and while it is just an inconvenience, it is also very much magical. It is never ever greener than during a storm with rain kissing the ground and all that is in its path. I am happily getting ready to go out and before I do I wanted to ...

There was so much talk about the special moon yesterday I was really excited to see and photograph it. Unfortunately, my moon was neither big or beautiful. The moon on Saturday was both, but despite occupying every possible vantage point last night I didn't see a large moon or even a big one....

At some point over the weekend I was watching swimmers attempting to qualify for the next world team. What was most interesting to me was the warm up routine each seemed to employ. Strange motions, unusual adjustments and oh the activity on the platform.  This got me to thinking about the warm up...

Sunday afternoon may be my favorite time at Tanglewood. It is easy and light and when the weather is good, as it is today, there is the opportunity to pick a great spot on the lawn and take in the whole atmosphere. YoYo Ma, the renowned cellist, is here today and will be performing, an all Tchaik...

Like most of us, when it rains we look to get out of it. It isn't always easy but we do the best we can. Insects are no different and because many are fragile they need to be more creative and more creative quickly. The other day, I saw this one and wanted to get a close up but before I could...
