Every time we disparage the state of the economy and talk about the terrible state of real estate, we create a self fulfilling prophesy. It is my view that if we are positive, then positive things will happen. There are great opportunities in the market and it is time to stress the positive, and put a bow on it.

Needing to pack but I am not feeling like it. I am instead showing Chico some special time to bond and be recognized and to know he is home and loved. Tomorrow, he and my other three go to Camp Wagalot while I am traveling. In that time I hope they bond too.
I picked up my new pup Chico after his second sulfur and lime dip yesterday. He was really happy to see me but he was so yellow he looked almost green. They took a skin sample and hopefully his ring worm is gone. What a little trouper. I will miss him and my others while I am away but will come h...
It was raining pretty good this morning but since it hadn't in weeks it was a blessing. I carried Chico to the car for his appointment. I have completed a number of errands already but still have to back-up my Mac computer before I travel Friday. I never remember how to exit the program and feel ...
I'm not much for the heat and hate humidity. Friday I am off for Ecuador, the Amazon and Peru. I have wanted to see Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) for some time and since this is fall there I thought this would be a good time. The heat is a surprise but so was the prolonged snow where I am. Perha...
I have a lot to do this week. Chico is going in for his final dip tomorrow to insure his ringworm is gone. I am leaving very early Friday for my trip to Ecuador and Peru. I have to seriously get organized and have a lot of things to complete before I go. My calendar is beyond full but it's all good.
I have lived in numerous places and in several states. Sometimes you don't know what you are looking for until you find it. Someone said to me recently that they had a lovely spot. I thought about that and replied that I too had a lovely spot and a house came with it. So for me, finding the place...

Sometimes the best things happen on the darkest days. I am going to a tea and tree peony preview at Naumkeag later. This gorgeous estate is stunning and is within a mile of my home. I was there last fall and I am looking forward to seeing it in a new season now. I will keep you posted. A gray day...
Most days are relatively easy. I get up, have a cup of coffee and write a blog. This morning I am tired and not feeling particularly creative. It is hard to write every day but generally I can. Today I have no story or experience to share: I wish I did but not now. Perhaps tomorrow.
There is a small spot on my basement floor. It is about the size of a quarter and it has been there for about ten days. When I look up I see a large black pipe that appears to wet, but not dripping. I called a plumber who thought it might be condensation. He will be here later. I don't want someo...
