chester county: The spring market? It's snowing in Chester County!
- 03/20/15 01:36 PM
Yes, even though there is snow on the ground, it is indeed the first day of spring in Chester County. As hard as it is to fathom Mother Nature's sense of humor, buyers are out there, wanting to look at homes. If you're one of them and are not working with an agent, I'd be delighted to help you.
There's something for every price range, in every desired school district. My website is easy to use and you can search by township or school district. Click here to get started. Yes, you will need to register. No, I will

chester county: What are the Utility Costs on this listing?
- 09/04/13 08:06 AM
I recently got an email from another real estate agent requesting current utility costs for the home her buyer was interested in. The listing in question is vacant and any utility cost will be totally irrelevant.
In my opinion, asking about utility costs at all, whether or not the home is vacant, is irrelevant. What one person considers warm or cold as far as heating and cooling is totally different than what you, as a consumer, thinks is warm or cold. I can tell you that what I consider warm in the winter and cool in the summer is definitely NOT what
chester county: Those mosquitoes are making everyone crazy!
- 08/30/13 12:17 PM
I don't know about your home, but my backyard is almost unbearable to walk around in these days. It's been a wet year and while mosquitos love me every year, this year has been brutal. I can't even go out in broad daylight without being eaten up alive. Local mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus and while the county does spray, it doesn't seem to help.
Enter Mosquito Shield. Rick Brogan's franchise has a zero risk money back guarantee. The protection plan uses 99% all natural materials that kill and repel mosquitoes. Rick came out yesterday and in the
chester county: There are structurally deficient bridges in Chester County?
- 08/29/13 06:02 PM
I saw an article today in the Daily Local News about our area bridges. There are currently 36 bridges deemed structurally deficient in the county and they will now either have weight restrictions places on them or have their current limits lowered within the year. This will, according to the article, be the first time any such restrictions have been placed on local bridges.
This action is supposed to minimize wear and tear and extend the life of the bridges. With funds tight, authorities are hoping to slow down the deterioration.
The article didn't name the bridges. I

chester county: Summer is winding down in Chester County
- 08/17/13 04:48 AM
All too soon, the summer nights are starting to get shorter. We are in the middle of unseasonably cool August weather, there's a hint of autumn in the air and in a few short weeks, school starts again in Chester County. The West Chester Area School District starts on my birthday, September 3. Downingtown Area Schools, I believe, start the week before!
Now, when the boys were young, I would want to do cartwheels down to the bus stop. Those days are long over. Max is heading to 11th grade and my Mike is living in New York City.

chester county: Hershey's Mill, East Goshen Township
- 09/05/12 04:28 AM
I often write about this lovely over 55 community in East Goshen Township. Hershey's Mill consists of many different villages, varying sized homes, prices and amenities. What all the homes and villages share is the fantastic landscaping and views throughout. One of my all time favorite spots in Hershey's Mill is right here. In every season, this spot makes me want to pull over, and just sit in peaceful silence.
Another view of the pond is just as inspiring.
If you've been thinking about a move to an over 55 community, I would love to show you around this
chester county: The Goshen Country Fair! East Goshen Township, Chester County
- 07/30/12 06:33 AM
I've updated this post from last year because I simply love this photo of my son Mike. He's 23 now but would you look at this little face?
East Goshen is not considered rural. It's not considered country. But the first week in August always bring a little of rural Chester County to East Goshen with the Goshen Country Fair!
Rides for the kids, shows and music, livestock, food, games and just about everything you've come to expect from a good old fashioned Country Fair. And the best part is that it is a 100% volunteer organization and benefits

chester county: West Chester Area School District Market Report
- 04/02/12 11:26 AM
It's been a very mild winter and a lovely spring so far in Chester County and it got me thinking that the mild weather has gotten many buyers out looking earlier than usual this year. The statistics do not lie.
As of this morning, there are 178 settled properties in the West Chester Area School District since January 1. Prices of the homes that have gone to closing range from $90,000 to $850,000.
There is even more good news. Pending sales in the district are a whopping 150 homes with prices ranging from $113,900 to $1,017,549.
While there are still 567

I will be hosting a public open house today, 1/29/12 from 2 to 4 at my wonderful ranch home listing at 718 Morgan Circle. Please be sure to stop by and see the gorgeous lot, just under an acre, that backs to some woods. This home sits at the end of a small cul-de-sac and comes off Palomino Drive, also a cul-de-sac. This means little or no traffic except for the people who live here. Wonderful home.

chester county: Chester County Homes for Sale, November 2011
- 11/01/11 09:57 AM
If you do not put a price range in your search, or if you did as I did and go from $0 to $10,000,000, you will see that there are 3817 listings currently for sale in Chester County. Yikes! In any give price range, there are lots of really great houses to choose from with really great interest rates still to be had for folks who have good credit.
Unbelievably, there are 632 homes for sale between $100,000 and $200,000!
In eastern Chester County, where my office is, particularly East Goshen, there are 174 homes between $0 and $2,000,000! The
chester county: Tonight is the last night for The Goshen Country Fair!
- 08/06/11 10:43 AM
Last night my husband Jack and I dragged my son Max, treated my son Max to some pizza and donuts at the Goshen Country Fair! The fair comes to East Goshen the first week of every August and I love it. Last night was the first opportunity I had to visit and we thought it would be fun if our sons accompanied us. Mike, our 22 year old already had plans, but we insisted the Max join us. It turns out it's not much fun insisting adolescents join you anywhere, but we made the best of it.
The pizza is my
chester county: East Goshen Garden, July 2011
- 07/26/11 10:07 AM
This spring was very wet and the summer is very dry, but there is still beauty in my East Goshen garden. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. Yesterday's rain refreshed the earth. These photos were taken last week. Enjoy the rest of July!
chester county: Chester County Library. I'm like a kid in a candy store!
- 06/05/11 05:27 PM
If you know me, you know I love to read. I've been reading everything I can get my hands on since the first grade! I have so many books that I have run out of room to store them. With on-line book buying made so easy, and a great "bring and take" area in my gym, I haven't had to go to the library in quite some time.
Last week my best friend asked me if I felt like taking a ride to one of the nicest libraries in the area, The Chester County Library in Exton. When we
chester county: Thankful Thursday, 6/2/11 Swinging Summer Thursday in West Chester!

Tonight is the first Swingin' Summer Thursday of the season in West Chester! The weather today is nothing short of spectacular so being outside tonight will be a wonderful time! Tonight's music will be Blue's and I will be tapping my foot to the music! I'm thankful to Suburban West Realtor's Association and Home Builders Association for sponsoring tonight's happy hour
Anyone who has been within whining distance of me this week knows that my central air conditioning system waved goodbye to me on Monday night. It's been in the 90's all week and I have been nothing short of miserable.
