Bending over can be Beautiful

Sometimes Mother Nature truly has it really right.  Look at the Japanese Maple tree....bends with the wind and looks totally elegant. This photo was taken in Pennsylvania last year....a gorgeous trip with an increbible amount of photo opportunities. I especially love the color of the leaves...truly beautiful. I have since planted two in my yard in Colorado. I don't think I will live to see them grow to this size. Absolutely amazing!

Hi Emelyn:  Truly my favorite tree!  I tried growing one in Florida but the hot summers were too much for the tree.  I was told they were cultivated for our climate but it didn't make it.....so sad.  Fabulous photo....thanks :-)

Lovely-  I have 3 of them in my yard-

Unfortunately one of them had Half the tree die last winter.  It had already survived 4 or 5 previous.  It broke my heart to have to cut away half that tree!  It was just getting to such a nice size.   Seems to be a thing here (Ontario) with maples..................

We have had such a mild winter....until today. Both of my small Japanese maple trees in my yard that I planted last year have numerous buds, but now after months of no moisture, we have over 12 inches of new snow and it is expected to continue through tomorrow morning....Yikes, I truly hope my trees survive. There is something magical about the Japanese maple tree, so graceful and delicate. Thanks for the nice comments.

This IS beautiful...I used to have one as a bonsai, and spent a lot of time looking at the beauty and somehow, mystery, of this beautiful tree. AI haven't seen one now in such awhile, so enjoyed your photo very much. thank you!
