Brave Americans! Here's To Our Military Who Saved Captain Phillips!!!

Real Estate Agent with HOM Sotheby's Intl Realty, 949-510-2395 DRE# 01494165

I just have to comment on how proud I am of our Navy, Marines, Air Force, Army and Coast Guard...not to mention all the reserves and National Guard. The intelligence, bravery and power of our military. In our home we are watching the amazing rescue of Captain Phillips...what an incredible example of bravery!

He's a true American Hero....he saved his ship and crew and ultimately, himself. And how about our Navy SEALS and other Special Forces...if this doesn't make you proud...well, I'm proud. And Grateful this Easter!

That's all I have to say.....wonderful triumph for all involved!

With so much constant negative news and tragic events the ending to this drama was definately uplifting and great kudos to our military, Captain Phillips and his crew and everyone else involved in the operation.  The behavior and bravery of all makes your heart swell with pride.  What a wonderful Easter gift for all, especially the family of Captain Phillips.

In a previous segment of my life I spent 12 years overseas and in that capacity I had the honor of meeting and providing accomodations for numerous navy seals.  They are definately a very special group of dedicated people in their service to our country and a group to be very proud of.

I'm with you - with all of you - in being proud of our military and of Captain Phillips. What really struck me in reading a partial interview with him was his humility. He denied his hero status and gave all the credit to the Navy Seals. In my eyes that makes him an even bigger hero.

First the airline pilot, now the ship's captain - two overwhelmingly modest heros in such a short time. Amazing!

This was a good day for America.

One of my duty assignments when I was on active duty was to provide intelligence information to Seal Team units for their upcoming missions. I can proudly say it was the most honorable assignment that I had when I was in the US Navy because I can tell you that I have never met men of such unquestionable integrity, loyalty and dedication to their country as those members who wear the Trident ( the Seal Team logo).

Navy Seal Team members undergo the most demanding of training, considered the toughest of all within the special forces, and all have impeccable character. Each and every citizen should thank god that we have such men who voluntarily "assume the watch" in order to safeguard our liberties.

I retired from the US Navy in 2002 after 21 years of service due to a back injury and I truly, deeply miss it. God bless our Navy Seals and all of our armed forces, and I thank you for recognizing them.

Karen,  I'm fortunate to live in North Carolina, just minutes from Camp LeJuene, Cherry Point and Ft. Macon Coast Guard Station.  I'm so gladd that Captain Phillips was rescued and proud to be an American today.  God Bless America and OOORAH!

Wasn't that exciting to have on the news all day yesterday?  A wonderful Easter miracle. Now we need a strategy to stop this terriorism on the sea's. We are blessed not one of the Navy Seals lost their lives as well as the Captain. But, this can not continue.

America has the best trained military, bar none.  We should remember that daily and be proud of that daily.  We should also remember it when there are those who walk among us who would like us to believe otherwise and not be afraid to tell them that they are wrong.  While there might be those who don't belong in uniform, it is no different than bad Realtors and bad mtg brokers.  Their numbers are very small compared to the whole.

We should also understand, and more importantly our elected leaders NEED to understand, that our military should be used as the LAST resort.  And when they are called on to be used to be used to the full extent of their capabilities.  Putting constraint upon what they can and can not do operationally hampers their ability to be effective and puts them at grave risk.  These fine men and women are not policemen, not nation builders, not school teachers.  While they have acted admirably as such, it is not their job, and doing these things while wearing the uniform makes them targets of the enemy.

And lastly let this successful operation stand as notice going forward to the rest of the thugs / pirates / vermin around the world that any ship, building, installation, or compound that flies the flag of the United States of America IS the United States of America.  Attacking such will bring down the full force of the US Military upon you.  There will be no mercy, no negotiation, no victory for you.

Job well done.

My heart swelled with pride when I heard that the Navy SEALS has rescued the captain.   I am so proud of all our military as well as our civilian police, firefighters and rescue workers.    These men and women are so dedicated to protecting us and helping us in any way that they can.    They take it very seriously.   My son is leaving Saturday for a 9 month deployment to Afghanistan.  I am very proud of him although obviously concerend for his well-being.  Please say a prayer for all our troops who are stationed in various places around the world that they my complete their missions and come home safely.

Thank you Karen for your comments.

I have a son who is a Marine (active duty).  He has served in Iraq, graduated from OCS (Officer Candidate School), and has graduated from flight school.  My son has trained for years... to serve our country.  Our men and women in uniform not only serve this country to the best of their ability, but spend a tremendous amount of time training for these operations.

It helps the families as well as the men and women in our armed services know that people appreciate their commitment and sacrifice to our country.

Thanks so much!
