I am doing it myself. Doing searches in the MLS to pull up the data. Wish there was an "easy" way to do it, but then there wouldn't be as much value in it.

Ken, Im sorry to be reading this 2 days late, but trying to learn from you (and I do greatly appreciate the information).  How often do you post these market overviews?          Ines

When you say "how" what exactly do you mean?

You know my plan is now to do it monthly as that will give visitors a great historical snapshot of the market. Plus I can then pull it up and use it for listing presentations. Currently I keep it for a couple towns anyways, but want more data. This just helps force me to do the work.

I really appreciate the comment about making it your own.  My market is guided very much by price/sq. ft. - so it wouldn't hurt to do an average Price/sq.ft. on these either.  There are a lot of subdivisions I work with , so I'll figure out how to list these.  thanks for the pointers.               Ines

More niche you make the post the more likely it will rank for that title. The title is the most important thing in getting the post to rank so take the time to think about what terms you want it to rank for. Do not spam the title, but make sure the main keyword you want it to rank for is in it. "Palatine IL Market Conditions" is a good example.

Low traffic term, but I am #1 & 2 just with this blog. Go for things that you aren't actually targeting with your main site. Condo complexes, subdivisions, and the such are perfect for this. Even if you only get to the small niches every 3 months at least you will rank for them.
