Let Realtors STICK to Real Estate!

Waking up to another article in the Pocono Record (quickly becoming a shill rag), I have the pleasure (sarcastic) to read that my local Realtor association (Pocono Mountains Association of Realtors or PMAR for short) is deciding to get in the business of politics starting with school board vacancies. I think that we as Realtors have enough bad press to fight then to start sticking our noses into areas that do not pertain to the buying and selling of real estate. Yes, we build communities. No, we do not need to have our two cents thrown in when it comes to education. We voted for a President whose stance is against lobbyists, and now PMAR, and the NAR for that matter, still feels it is necessary to back candidates in the political arena. Let us worry about Realtors and real estate, home buyers and sellers and step away from politics, donations and lobbyists. Let Realtors exemplify the spirit of this administration and disband any Political Action Committee (RPAC) and any local association who thinks they are making a difference as well (you are not).
