Foto Friday: "Cat fight" and "Friends forever"

If you leave a comment, Jim will visit your blog and leave a comment. My mom likes to send me emails rubbing it in my nose whenever she goes out to eat at Famous Dave's Barbecue in Vista, California.

She does it because Famous Dave's is my favorite barbecue, and because it is 45 miles from me but only 2.3 miles from her -- yes, she measured it down to the tenth of a mile. That's my mom!

Fortunately, she always ends her email with a nice joke or some cute pictures.

This time she sent me two pictures of some cats, which I think you'll enjoy. The first one I titled "Cat fight" and the second one "Friends forever."

Cat fight

Friends forever

Jim, I have  brother and sister orange Tabbies they can easily fit in both of these photos, they kiss in the Morning, but are just as likely to fight till the fur flies an hour later. Not unlike human brothers and sisters.

Cats are so fun.  I am a dog person but I love my step-cat. Cats are uniquely photogenic.

Has it always been Foto Friday or just because Wordless Wednesday would work this week?  I never noticed.

Hey Jim!  Absolutely love those pictures!! Someone is quick with the camera... Your Mom sounds like a wonderful lady!!  Love her humour! Hey Jim, why don't you make it a day trip, go to Dave's for barbeque and then Star Trek!!  Oh Sorry,

Love Steve's cat story too! :0)

Hi Jim - I'd like to think that both pairs of cats are simply auditioning for Dancing With the Stars.  The first ones are doing the paso doble, and the second ones are perhaps doing the Viennese waltz!

Hi Jim ~ I love these photos! I too thought the top duo were dancing. Have you seen the book - I think it's called Dancing with Cats or something like that.  It's photographs of people dancing (I think it would be called modern dancing) with cats and it's quite something.  I haven't taken Champ for a spin on the dance floor yet but it's on my list.

Hey, Pat - Many dogs and cats get along well together. You just have to introduce them to each other gradually, and if your Rottweiler is a grown down, get an adult cat from an animal shelter that was raised with dogs.

Hey, Steve and Dorie - Reminds me of me and my brother. We're the only two children.

Hey, Maureen - People make up things as they desire, but Foto Friday has been around for at least nine or ten months that I know of.

Hey, Andrea - I don't mind 45 miles for good barbecue, but that makes it a 90-mile round trip, which isn't good for the pocket book on a weekly basis, which is as often as I would like to have barbecue.

Hey, Al and Peggy - Between you two on one side and Russel on the other trying to get me to Star Trek, Zoey the Cool Cat seems to be the only one who understands me....

Hey, Susan - Maybe the next reality show will be about our cats and dogs. Wait, we already have that on animal planet. Nevermind.

Hey, Liz - I haven't see that book. I'll have to check at Borders to see if we have it.

Hey, Bob & Carolin - Thanks for stopping by. I'll be over to visit you soon.

Hi Jim...you can always catch my attention with kitty pictures.  Can never seem to get enough of them.  Maybe it's because they are just the most adorable species on the face of this earth and they are so full of fun and mischief...not to mention their innate beauty.  Hope you get some BBQ soon too ;-)

Hey, Mike - I'm also one who really loves the pictures of animals obviously being friendly with each other, especially if it's a dog and cat, but the two friends forever cats are good. The one on the left looks like it is so striken with infatuation while the one on the right looks like, "Ah, just another fan."

Hey, Matt - That's one of those spelling errors that spell check doesn't catch. Are you just trying to get back at me for catching an error in one of your blog posts. Hmmm. You're one of those tit for tat people, huh? LOL Seriously, though, thanks. I dislike spelling errors. I corrected the error. Interestingly, all throughout the month of May, I got docked points for editing old posts to correct such errors. We'll see if that bug has been corrected since I edited this post.

Hey, Betina - As may cats as I've had, I must admit that I've never seen a cat fight. I have heard some, though, most recently a couple of nights ago which I think woke up everyone in the neighborhood, including Zoey the Cool Cat, who rushed to the open window and started talking to whomever was out there to listen.

Hey, Gail - Well I certainly hope you have at least one cat taking up residence in your home - LOL. I think we're getting some barbecue on June 2. We're going to the Wild Animal Park for a special evening for Zoo & Park sponsors and donors, and at that point the barbecue is just a few miles away.

I just love that cat hug.  Calicos are one of my favorites.  Of course, as far as cats go I guess I like them all!
