It's Certainly Raining, But I Am Not Active!

By
Real Estate Agent with Evers & Company Real Estate, Inc. AB95346

This morning I woke up with every intention to go into a full workahaulic frenzy.  Then, I drove over to Capitol Hill, got drenched trying to preview a bunch of places and came home after House Number 2!

I wonder if the guys at work at the Capitol are feeling as non productive as I do right now?

And I have to remind myself that, unlike members of congress who get regular checks every couple of weeks, I only get paid when I produce results!

So guess I'd better just get over it and sell a listing - or at least do some of the stuff that is necessary to prepare for this weekend's Open House!

I vote that congress only get paid when they pass a law that lowers our taxes and actually helps rather than hinders free business.

Hi Pat, rainy here and cold. And I feel like crap. I think I have the bovine flu. I am heading for jammies and the couch and tv, laptop perched on my knees precariously close to falling on the floor as I nod off....

I already had my headaches for the day, and they were headaches that we are moving to resolve. Hard to do with medicine head and this darn bovine flu.

Patricia,

As long as you're able, keep working...when you're tired of working, run for Congress...then you can receive a check every couple of weeks for doing nothing...!!! Thanks,   Fran

Pat - All that, and you still have no representation in congress! I was just in DC for my Nephews wedding and it was awesome. I love DC. Haven't been there since I was in high school. Never mind how long ago that was! Wish I had time to look you up, but it was a brief weekend with my whole family,a bunch of relatives, and friends.

What I want to know, did Willie stay away from the puddles? Did I tell you that is my brothers name?  LOL

Hey Patricia,

I'm out here in Gainesville, Va...suburban DC!  I'm with you...TIRED of this rain.  We get our work done, but it's like pulling our feet out of quicksand....not much energy left to be excited about what we do.  But, like this economy...this too shall pass.  Soon July and August in Washington will be here...HOT days with no rain at all, or those awful late afternoon thunderstorms that just make everything more hot and humid.  Boy!  I can't wait until it snows!!!

Liz, something tells me you are a wonderful broker!

Kristin, I am so freakin' sick of rain that I would love to send it your way!

Todd, oh!  If only!

Barb, you just have to suck it up!

Andrea, the bovine flu?  What are the symptoms?

Fran, um, here in Washington, DC, we do not have congressional representation.  Oh well!

Judy, my license plate actually says "Taxation Without Representation"!  And Willie loves puddles!  He's been rolling in mud and he's really happy when he is wet and filthy!

And Anne, what a wonderful way of expressing how my day felt!  Feet in quicksand!  Yeah!

Hi Pat... Hope that you are dry.  A friend of mine in D.C. called and said that his place flooded from the rain on Wednesday!  Call me if you need help building an ark!

Pat,

Soon that D.C. rain will stop and just turn into a summer of humidity. Congress will have those paychecks during vacation but you'll still be hustling to do deals.  I'm betting your soggy previewing will pay off big for you!
