Is everything you try being blocked by someone?

By

It seemed like there was a preponderance of blogs last week concerning things not working out, roadblocks everywhere to that successful purchase offer, or close of escrow, or loan funding.

It does happen to everyone occasionally, just like someone put up a roadblock for this tree:

Something blocking your way? Go around it!     Something blocking your way? Go around it!

Something blocking your way? Go around it!

If necessary, reach out to someone, perhaps even those who are blocking you.

Reach out!

If that doesn't work, go ahead and strangle them:

Strangle them!

If you choose to strangle them, do it nicely.

If you choose to strangle them.  Do it privately and be sure to have a good attorney.

Russel, interesting post to follow the one about "Let there be peace, beginning with me" I think that was the name, right? LOL.

Russ is right, make sure you have a good attorney. And private is the key!

Love those pictures by the way.

That was great!  I am one of those conservatives hoping I am having a nightmare and I will wake up  soon.  I am going to go  back and read some of your helpful hints for AR blogging.  Thanks.

It does seem like there are a lot of roadblocks lately...banks not responding to short sales...2 closing that were supposed to happen last month are still delayed (until July!) because of liens...it's exhausting! That is such an interesting tree!

If I strangle them I'm going to have a good alibi.  But Russel I gotta tell ya, if that tree can do it, well then so can I ... go around obstacles that is.

Hi Russel - Just one question:  How does one strangle nicely?

I love those photos.  That tree has had to work hard for its existence!

Hey, Russ - Probably good advice. LOL

Hey, Andrea - As a Marketing & Business Consultant, I try to meet the needs of all my Clients................

Hey, Eric - There is so much inspiration that Mother and Father Nature can provide.

Hey, Sandra - I don't think it's a nightmare. Not yet, anyways. LOL

Hey, Mara - Thanks for confirming that for us. LOL

Hey, Tammy - The tree is a ficus, and while they generally are fast-growing, I suspect this one is at least thirty years old judging from its size, the size of nearby trees, and that root system that has traveled everywhere looking for nutrients.

Hey, Lou - New Jersey and Chicago, eh? LOL

Hey, Susan - One could use, say, a diamond-studded belt rather than a piece of piano wire. Just a thought. LOL

Russell-Now that's interesting as I was under the impression that tree roots would break through anything.  You have enlightened me.

Hey, Richard - Many tree roots will, especially if they are underground roots. Surface roots aren't quite as picky, but if they run into something that they can't go around, they will go under and buckle whatever they went under.

This is a Ficus tree, and they have a significant root system. Many people get them from the grocery store when they are 18 inches tall and then plant them right next to the front entrance once they are too big for the house. Front entrances usually have some corner planters associated with them, and these surface roots will get into that corner, not have anywhere to go, and dig under the house, buckling the foundation.

It's very important that one know what kind of tree, and how big it, its branches, and its root system will grow before planting it next to the house.

Russel--Age has taught me tolerance the old 'live and let live.'  However some of the others haven't learned that.  If the negative comments are on TV or internet, I turn it off.  If the negativity is in print, I don't read.  If I feel negative I try to avoid people.  I don't feel the rest of the world needs to be brought down.  These are just my thoughts for the day. Bye.

Hey, Matt - I'll have to contribute to Wikipedia, I suppose.

Hey, Sally and David - When you're talking about where there's a will, there's a way, are you talking about strangling them nicely? LOL

Hey, Mary - I remember when I was growing up my wise old grandmother subscribed to a tabloid newspaper called GRIT. It had nothing but good, wholesome, positive stories. Sadly, I guess it went out of business.

Hey, Sharon - I try to help everyone, so, yes, I'll be your alibi. LOL

Hey, Diane - I had suggested using a diamond-studded belt rather than piano wire, but Matt tells me even that wouldn't be acceptable since it's not in Wikipedia. Maybe I could just have Zoey the Cool Cat lay across their throat.
