FORT COLLINS - Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association will return $230,000 to former customers, if they can be located. The REA is a nonprofit cooperative serving consumers in Larimer, Boulder and Weld counties. It annually sends refunds to customers for payments made in prior years. The association is seeking 4,727 customers billed in 1997 who are owed a total of $230,000. A total of $2 million was sent in refund checks last year, but checks for customers who have since moved are returned. A list of customers who are still owed money can be found at www.pvrea.com/capitalcredits. The list of names will also be published in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, the Greeley Tribune and the Longmont Times-Call on July 19. Those who find their names on the list should contact Poudre Valley REA, PO Box 272550, Fort Collins, CO 80527-2550 or call 970-226-1234.
