Ahwatukee Foothills - Search Phoenix Homes

The Urban Village of Ahwatukee Foothills, due to its location and isolated away from the rest of Phoenix,  has been nicknamed the World's Largest Cul-de-sac. However, it's that very isolation that make Ahwatukee such a desirable neighborhood. Residents of the Ahwatukee community know it to have a friendly, neighborhood feel that truly makes it feel like home. The peaceful desert surroundings and high quality of life make Ahwatukee a top choice for families and empty-nesters.

Recognized by Money Magazine as one of the "Best Places to Live in America," Ahwatukee Foothills continues to thrive as a place where young families and young professionals want to settle down. It is the southernmost of Phoenix's 15 Urban Villages, with a population of about 85,000.

As of May 2009, Ahwatukee's median home price was $256,500, and its median household income was $148,200, according to The Arizona Republic. Search here for homes in the Ahwatukee area.

The Ahwatukee Village has an active shopping and nightlife at its core, the areas near 48th Street and Ray Road. And, one of its best-known annual features is the Ahwatukee Festival of Lights, held from late November through early January. Make sure to mark your calendar and take a festive drive along Chandler Boulevard from 24th Street to Desert Foothills Parkway.

With all the amenities of a closeknit community, Ahwatukee could be the perfect place for you and your family!

Those are very attractive panoramic photos, Anna! I like your urban villages map, too. I may need to come up with something like that for San Antonio.

Cheers,

Robin

Hi Robin - it is amazing that the city father/mothers came up with the idea of 'village'. It makes so much sense.  Thanks for stopping by!  I look forward to learing about San Antonio from you!
