...You Might be a Real Estate Workaholic

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with PropertyInfo Corp. - SureClose

I've noticed a pattern in my life lately.  I think I've gone over the edge of no return.  OK, it isn't that bad but I thought we could have a little fun here.  These are just some observations of mine and I'm not telling if these are actually my actions or the actions of people I encounter each day.  But I will tell you, they are all 100% true!

*If you are going on vacation and the first thing you pack is your cell phone charger and laptop power cord...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If your spouse wants to take you out for dinner and a movie and you ask him to send you an Outlook Invite to put it on your calendar...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If you wear your blue tooth headset to your child's parent/teacher conference...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If you go for a walk through your neighborhood and you find yourself mentally taking notes of potential termite issues at each passing property...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If telemarketers call your house and you ask them if they own a home...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If you can calculate 3% of any number in under 10 seconds...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If you answer your home phone, "Hi this is _______, how may I help you"...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If you go on a trip and breakdown the flight time with how many blogs you can write...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If someone asks you out on a date say yes only after mentally sizing up whether or not you think his/her FICO score is above 620...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If you say more than once, "I'm as serious as a heart attack" and then have one within the near future...you might be a real estate workaholic

*If a real estate agent cold calls you at home and you ask her what transaction she is calling in regards to...you might be a real estate workaholic

And finally...

*If you end your yearly Christmas card letter with "all other terms and conditions are to remain the same"...you might be a real estate workaholic

Beth,

Pause...sniff...Don't forget to stop and smell the roses. Said the realtor reading AR blogs at 2:30AM while on vacation :-)

Cheers,

That just described most of us in this business.  Funny but so sad.

Reading this reminds me of a realtor I know.  He goes to work in a flurry every day.  I'm guilty of the same.

Cute, loved the picture/cartoon....So, Randy, do you really send the Outlook Invite?  Now, that is funny, but I did catch myself the other day telling my daughter to send me a mail to my grand-daughters graduation, does that count?

Well, she tells me to, but I don't just to get to her. I may have one time, though.

Carol, that reminds me of a trip we took last year to Bass Lake.  We were staying at a campground in the mountains and every afternoon, there was a little group of campers congregating on the top of the highest hill in the campground.  We all had our laptops and were trying desparately to get cell reception.

Thanks for the laugh!!  I have decided that I am while my kids are in school, however, during the summer, I am more laid back.

I also have vague memories of Beth sitting in the passenger seat in the van on the way up to Washington last August working on her tablet and getting frustrated when she'd lose her connection in the mountains. ;)

I would love to lay back a little for the summer, too.  I think I'll try to get a little R&R in.

Hilarious!

*If you wear your blue tooth headset to your child's parent/teacher conference...you might be a real estate workaholic

How about,

*If you walk out of your child's school awards assembly to Blackberry message your processor so you do not miss funding cut-off...

*If you find yourself apologizing for the roar of crowd at the little league game while you are on the phone with your client discussing what a servicing disclosure statement is...

*If you mentally calculate how much equity there is in every house in your neighborhood...

*If you are the one your group of friends always makes take out her mortgage calculator at restaurants to divide the dinner check 6 ways....

Any more???  :0)

Got a new one this weekend:  If you pass out your business cards at the family reunion, you might be a real estate workaholic.
