Mission Valley Condos, San Diego CA: Bahia Resort at Mission Bay Park

If you leave a comment, Jim will visit your blog and comment. Not too far away from the 39 condominium complexes in Mission Valley is San Diego's Mission Bay Park, the largest manmade aquatic park in the nation.

With 4,235 acres, of which about 46% is land and 54% is water, Mission Bay Park offers every type of boating -- sailing, ski boats, fishing boats, jet skis, etc.

There are walking and jogging paths, playgrounds for children, places to fly kites, picnic and barbecue areas, and even fire rings where one can actually build a fire on the beach and roast some marshmallows.

Mission Bay Park attendance is about 15 million each year, part of which is due to the annual professional volleyball tournaments, the Over-the-Line tournament, and various boating events.

At the western end of Mission Bay Park is Sea World of San Diego and the Bahia Resort. Once you've been to Sea World, I highly recommend a Sunday brunch at the Bahia Resort, especially on Easter Sunday and the Sundays closest to Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. Reservations are highly recommended on special day weekends.

If you eat brunch at Bahia Resort on the special days, you'll usually get a free ticket for a paddleboat steamer ride on the Bahia Bell across the Bay to the Catamaran Resort and then back. Once that's done, visit the two rescued harbor seals in their special pool -- they both are partially blind so they cannot be released back into the wild -- rent yourself a jet ski, bicycle, or boat, play some volleyball, take in an evening floating Mystery Dinner Cruise on the William D. Evans paddleboat, play in the sand, or play in the water, or even have your wedding right there on the beach. If you enjoy rowing, the San Diego Rowing Club has its facilities in Mission Bay Park.

Misson Bay Park offers a lot of free recreation, including watching a beautiful sunrise or a sunset. Or just walk around and watch the kingfisher birds, the great blue herons, and the great white egrets, not to mention the seagulls and pelicans. Try an early morning stroll for the best in wildlife viewing. There are many restaurants open for the early morning fisherpeople, too.

I thought I would stop by and see how your slide shows were coming along. I see they are showing up in Google searches. Keep it up. Just 25 more complexes to do.

Hey, Jack (and Izzy) - You can do more than dream. A little money will buy you a second home right here in San Diego! Just call me when you need me. I'm pretty sure Russel will let you follow him around during the home inspection, too!

Hey, Jim - Back in August 2005 when I started as a Realtor, I didn't really think I had a chance at getting my web site or my name up there in the top echelons of Internet placement, but I have noticed since my blogging here at ActiveRain that a Google search of "mission valley condos" has me right there on page 1. Interestingly, Goodsearch, Bing, Yahoo, AOL Search, and others don't. I just have to hope that everyone is Googling and not Goodsearching, Binging, Yahooing, or AOL Searching.

Hey, Al & Peggy - You should see my marketing guru check up on me in real time. Sometimes I don't think he believes me when I tell him how much I accomplish each day. I know that a lot of times when he is between a morning inspection and an afternoon inspection, and some place too far from home, he'll just head west to a beach, pull out his laptop computer, plug it into the car adapter, and start working. He's never been one to waste any time. You'll never understand that until you see his daily list of things to do: eat breakfast, read newspaper, brush teeth, etc.
