Be Teachable And Willing To Learn

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Results

I am amazed by how many people are set in their ways.  Their are many Realtors not making adjustments in this market and have therefore moved on or seen their business go down significantly.

Their are people in general that make a decision that turns out to be a wrong choice and still are stubborn enough to stick to it even though in the long run it is out of line with their core values and with the will of God.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:3)

To be "poor in spirit" means to be humble, receptive, teachable, and willing to learn and accept higher, more prosperous ideas.

This is a time of abundance and prosperity- but unfortunately most people focus on the lack and troubles in life.  And sure enough what do they get...more troubles and lack.

This is a time of grace, mercy and forgiveness - Many people are stuck in lack because they simply have not demonstrated grace, mercy and forgiveness to others in their life.

If your lacking in some area it might be a good time to become receptive to new HIGHER ideas and ways of thinking.  If you think you already know everything and there is nothing more to learn does this serve you?

Jesus promised that those who seek the kingdom of heaven all the good things of life would be added onto them.  Doubt, worry and fear is no longer in your vocabulary when in the KINGDOM.

Chances are that no one reading this has perfected the KINGDOM lifestyle that leads to more GOOD in your life and to all that you come in contact with.  Now is a great time to become POOR IN SPIRIT; by being teachable and willing to learn what you don't know. Become open and receptive to the things that are good for all concerned.

Blessings!

Very Good, Chuck.  There are many that have not made the changes needed for thier markets.  Some because they don't want to and some because they don't have the ambition!

Chuck, this really ministered to me. Thanks so much for writing - I'm subscribing to your blog. I have said that Realtors who don't adapt won't survive, and many haven't, as you said, but taking it back to Jesus' words, that connection I had not made.

This is important for agents ... and people ... to know and understand.  If you don't bend you'll break.  These are different times that require different action.

I've said all along that you have to have a "servant's heart" to do well in real estate. The money only agents have a much harder time adapting to this market ! When we are truely an empty vessel,GOD can do really great things(inspite of us !)!
