I am curious ...How many people door knock to get business these days?  My manager says to door knock to get more business...I agree it is a good idea but sometimes I don't want to...help!!  I started thinking about DOGS!! Ahh!!  Ah-well I guess I am making excuses for not trying it....DO YOU DOOR KNOCK THESE DAYS?  I want to know if you DO KNOCK ON PEOPLES DOORS...DO YOU GET GOOD BUSINESS RESULTS?  I guess I might need a push to get started...maybe it is just me but it does not look glamorous in my opinion.

Tom,

Door Knocking works! Just don't expect the listing on the first try. Stop by introduce yourself and give them your business card. Make nice, then follow up often. Good luck! :)

I like the Door Knocking. The one thing that you get is instant feedback. Of course I do not linger at the doors asking stupid questions like how are your flowers doing this year. I hit hard and move on.

I do it in neighborhoods that I farm,  It greatly increases the awareness of you in that neighborhood.  Also I wrote a blog on it so take a look at my blogs but I sponcered a yard sale this year and I met at least 50 people in a non real estate selling kind of way and got great feedback and results.  I have already been refered some business and the sale was just last weekend.  Also was made aware by a homeowner while I was sitting at her house chatting with her during the sale that she is planing on selling in the fall.  What a wonderful thing for her to tell me as I am sitting there in my Keller Williams Shirt, and have my Yard sale sign in her front yard which also says Keller Williams  in bold letters.

Door knock it is worth it.

I promise if you never try it, it will never work. The only way to make prospecting work is to actually do it and have faith in it working. Anytime you want something to work you have to believe in it or it won't work. Whether you think it will or you think it won't you are right!
