My listing is on Twitter

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams ~ Ottawa Realty Ltd

With all the hype of Twitter and social media you need to get on board or get left behind. I recently saw someone do this and thought it was a great idea. We follow friends, celebrities, people we don't know or people we want to know more so why not find out what is going on with the house you bought.

I represent a Builder in the Rockland area (near Ottawa, ON) and one of his listing now has a Twitter account. These are new homes being built and the entire process will be "twittered". It's a great way for the current buyers to find out what is going on with their home and also potential clients to see how things are getting done.

It is a big commitment on my part but hopefully the rewards will be there.

You can check it out at http://www.twitter.com/ClementTOWN

An online video blog of the homes will also be done shortly.

See you on Twitter!

Jean,  I think that will be a must for all listings in the future.  How are things in Ottawa?  I used to summer at Norway Bay on the Ottowa River.  Beautiful.

Good morning Marcia. Ottawa is great! The market is good, 12.5% increase in June & 11.5% increase in July (in volume over same period last year). Can't complain about that! You're right, I think Twitter is a great tool and as long as used properly. take care

Interesting.  Guess it can't hurt since it is free!  I think the similar thing could also be accomplished by assigning a hashtag to the project and using that each time a person tweeted.

Speaking of tweeting listings.  I just played around with tweetlister.com this week.  It is pretty cool.
