Bird Watching at Pelican Bay

Pelican Bay is a bird sanctuary.  According to the “Clam Bay Field Guide” (which I can supply or you can pick up at The Commons office at Pelican Bay), the following species are counted as resident or snowbirds (the real kind) of Pelican Bay grounds:

It's interesting that I clicked over here Marcia...

This morning a bird (the ones that go under water) was searching for food in the canal behind our house and lo and behold, a big ole' gator snatched that birdee right up.

This is the same gator that keeps eyeballing my dog. No. I don't leave the dog out :)

Patricia, Amazing but true. I love to see the pelicans doing a low cruise over the water on my morning walk! 

TLW, Oh, oh, "Fluffy" better stay inside.  I had a freind visiting me from up North and as we walked along the berm behind my building he kept hearing "frogs" croaking.  I said, "honey, those are not frogs !  It's a jungle out there. :)
