Staged Home Sizzles in Abilene, Texas!

The home was painted, cleaned,,decluttered, and prepped for sale.  Then like frosting on a cake the final staging furnishings and decor were put into place.

The broker owner asked me to stage the property for him and I agreed.  Here are the BEFORE 2ND LIVING area which went from painful red to refreshing neutral.  The clutter of exercise equipment was expunged.  A dated dining table was replaced by wicker and light and bright decor.

What do you think now?  Here are after photos:

Now a NEW LIVING and DINING instead of the hodgepodge of exercise equipment.

This home is for sale in Abilene Texas and is located at 909 Blair Street.

Beverly - you did a wonderful job! That little area with the two wicker chairs made a huge difference.

Congratulations. Your post is being featured in the group Staging Before and After Pictures.

Kathy, thanks for the comment.  Wicker works in many places and is easy to move, a great staging advantage!

Barbara, yes, the room is S00000... very different.  Glad you like it.

It looks so fresh and inviting now.  The new paint really makes a huge difference and potential buyers will want to sit down and enjoy a margarita!

Lisa,  The paint did make a huge difference.  When I first saw the room, I had a  huge sinking feelling as to whether the seller would repaint as he was the one who painted the red to start with, but I couldn't have had a more cooperative seller!  He painted this room and the master suite this same color.

Beverly,

The room turned out so nice.  I love the new wall color and the drapes, the wicker furniture made just the right finishing touch.  I also loved the comment "painful red"...that really sums it up.

Linda,  Thank you for your comments.  I was just expressing myself with the words "painful red"  To the owner who painted it red he really liked it red,  but one small little detail, he is really ready to sell, now.

Beverly,

"painful" is not necesserely the red, but maybe the "untrained" use of it. It screems to be repainted!

And that comment comes from a great color advocat, mind you.

You're right, red must be "trained"  I haven't had anybody say, they wish the red was back!
