Mike and June: This is near a cabin I have listed. The leaves are on there way already. It is gorgeous up there right now. Thanks for your comments.

That's amazing color on the yellow flowers, but looking at the leaves already turning orange, is a bit scary.  Don't want to think about what comes next. :)

What an interesting picture. Apparently, two of the blooms are water hogs and don't wanna share...

Really nice pic.  I love the look of that natural process of the withered flower giving way to the new.

Randy, the yellow in the flowers really "pops" with the green leaves in the background.  Nicely done!

Sharon, Thanks, sometimes luck is on our side. I was trying to catch the flowers and really didn't realize what a beautiful backdrop was unfolding behind the flowers.

Randy great shot;  however on the leaves behind the flower are tell tail sign that summer is winding down.

Randy,

Yellow seems to be a popular color for weeds and wildflowers. We have several similar to this. :)

Steve, Thanks for your comments. It is true there are many varieties of flowers using yellow to attract those bees. The difference between our flowers and yours is how long they stick around. This particular location has a very short growing season.
