I found this with some photos I took on a recent trip through West Virginia.  I have no idea where this chuch is.  But I was stuck by it's simple beauty.

This is a beautiful church, Patricia.  I really like the stone staircase and the turret bell tower.  Beautiful!  Thanks for sharing this with us.

It IS a beautiful church - love those windows, which as almost gothic. But those are some steps - bet they don't cater to a seniors population.

What a peaceful picture; if history could talk with those walls and all the lives that have been touched by that church.

Hi Pat... it's a beautiful church, but I think the staircase really makes it dues to the contrast of matierials and styles.

Jeff, it does look that way, but there is a big parking lot in back that allows the knee impaired easy access to the church itself.

Margaret, I think most of my past lives have involved flute playing.

Anne and Eddie, you have all of those wonderful old mission churches that we never see in these parts.

Tom, like babies, there is no such thing as an ugly church!

Look at that amazing stonework in the stairs. I can see why it captured your attention. It is beautiful.

I love churches, barns, silos and cows to name a few - but truthfully, the list could go on to infinity. Great photo.
