$110,000,000 waiting to be claimed in Arkansas Treasure Hunt

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Advantage

It's that time of the year again!

TREASURE HUNT!  THE GREAT ARKANSAS TREASURE HUNT!

Treasure hunt

Who can resist looking at it to see if you can claim a prize?  I found a Barbara Duncan above but it's not me.  That's not where I live.

By going to the website  www.artreasurehunt.com  you can check to see if your name is on the list.  Unclaimed property (not real estate) such as uncashed checks, abandoned bank accounts, utility deposits, and various other things are reported to the Auditor of State Unclaimed Property Division.  If you find your name you can file a claim to "claim" the treasure.

Last year the state paid out about 7.3 million in belated claims and this year 56,000 new names were added to the list.  Try it.  Even if you're not from Arkansas, there may be something for you!!

One time I was on the list in California for $10 from some insurance co. I never bothered because I thought the process for claiming wasn't worth the bucks.

Yeah, Don.  There was an article in the Dem-Gazette about some estate that had some funds.  It took so many heirs to come forth and claim it, however, that they just let it lie there.  It would cost more to claim than they'd get.

Ack, I went to that site and started entering all my former names -- there have been a lot of them, LOL -- and suddenly realized, hey, this is for the state of Arkansas. I've never lived in Arkansas.

I forgot to type in Nutsy Wallenda.  Better check it out.  You've got a vast number of relatives in Arkansas.

P. S. You remember that I hate that mustardy suit..............

Godmother Barbara,

But it is the closest outfit I have that is paid for that is suitable for blasting out of Mount Etna. I feel like rocketman when Mr Charles and Mrs Kate get me worked into a blind rage. I just explode and I am best protected from the molten lava when wearing my wiener outfit. My wiener outfit is certainly better than that outfit of the so-called naked home inspector, if you know what I mean.

Nutsy
