Hi Sabrina, What a cool photo. The Indian paintbrush looks like it doesn't care that everything else has gone away!  What a show stopper!

It may be the last flower standing, but it's a beauty and so's the photo.

That's so pretty, Sabrina!  The red stands out in such beautiful contrast to the surrounding area.  Love it!

Sabrina,  That is a great photo of Indian Paintbrush.  I took some photos of them this summer since it is the state flower in Wyoming, but I like yours the best.  I liked your other photos, too, so I just subscribed to your blog.

Gary, Thanks for subscribing to my blog. Colorado offers endless photographic opportunities year round.

Steve, yes all the wild flowers are gone too soon. This year we had so many wildflowers that I was able to identify some new one from the field guide.

Lee and Carol thanks for dropping by. It is good to know of some agents who work the tri-state region in your area. I bet that can be a few hand fulls.

And of course to everyone else thanks for all the comments. Your comments inspire me to get out from behind the LCD screen and into the scenery.

A great week to all.

Hi Sabrina, After the last storm I worry the Indian Paintbrush is no longer standing!  Hope you are having a great day today! :-)

Where is your snow, Sabrina?  You must have captured this shot of the last flower standing before the snow fell.  Stay warm~

Hi Sabrina - It's so sad to see them go, isn't it? We had so many this year - I heard somewhere they were protected, have you heard that too?

I missed this when you posted it but it is a very cool picture.  There's got to be one die hard flower that doesn't want to give in.
