Summit, Utah

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Legacy

This is another in the now series that we are putting together about the beautiful towns that we also work in.  We are blessed to have several of these really nice communities, some are larger than others but all enjoy very beautiful surroundings.  This is Summit, Utah; one of the smallest of the communities along Interstate 15 in Iron County.

This photograph was taken from a dirt frontage road east of Interstate 15.  Summit is the town that is the highest in elevation along Interstate 15 in Utah.

Hi Tony and Darcy....Makes Sense to Call the Town Summit, Great scene, looks like it could be a Western Movie Setting.

Cheers, Great Photo !

Darcy and Tony, I like this picture.  Most of our barb wire fence is disappearing in our area so it is good to see it again.  What is the elevation there?

Jim: Thank you it is in a nice setting!

Fred: It does look like a great Western Setting!

Bruce: We still have some barbed wire in places here, but even so it is disappearing also.  I think that Summit is about 6800 feet above sea level.  I could be wrong, but Parowan is at 6300 hundred feet, and I have always been told that Summit was about 500 feet higher in altitude.

I was looking at some of your photos.  You have some great scenery out there.  I have not seen that much land (without buildings/highrises) in ages.  I'd have to drive way out of town, to see open spaces like that.  (and sometimes we need to ... it's very peaceful)

Sylvie: We are still pretty rural here, so that much is nice.  It is good to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city from time to time!
