How many computer "experts" have you hired/paid to assist you in your endeavors?

Ann, great blog, I have tried and tired to understand the google ranking system.  I even signed up with ClaimID, who convinced me that my name would pop up on all the tag lines, but I don't see anything new or exciting happening yet and this was 5 days ago.  I am waiting patiently for the lights to go on and the thunder to clap!!  Anyway, I am on 20,000 web pages, what does that mean?  It means I am spending too much time on the computer! LOL...  if you figure out the trick of meta tags, google searches, etc., let me know - SHARE!!!!!  Maybe someone can enlighten us........

Well, I am now going on my 5th!  I have yet to understand how to achieve a higher ranking in google.  Everyone tells me something different.  If I google my name, I am on over 7300 web pages.  My website has been tagged to all these web pages, but yet my website is no where near the top of the google search.

I have been told "tags" work.  Then I see a video from google that shows Mr. Google stating "tags" are meaningless in the search engine.  "Description" means something, though.  Linking to others is supposed to help.  I have done this.  But I am MISSING something or everything !?

Can anyone tell me how to achieve a higher ranking?  All tips appreciated!

Sandy/Ann - I would suggest you spend your money on a nice well budgeted pay per click campaign as opposed to hiring people for Google Rankings. The easiest way to get yourself ranked is thru Blogging unless your site has been around for over 20 years or so.

When blogging be sure that the title of your blog is UNIQUE and Relevant to your POST! A nice example would be to use the address in the blog. It makes it a bit more unique! Make sure you include some unique content in your blog. If you are trying to advertise a listing in your blog, make sure to possibly give some information on what is going on in the town etc... some really good unique content and just tie it all back to the selling of your listing at the end of the post!

That is my tip of the day!
