A quick and easy way to reconnect with your network

From now until December 25th, you’ll probably be receiving holiday cards in the mail, e-cards or small gifts from friends, family, past or current clients, and other professionals you’ve worked with.

While for some of them you might just be a name on their list, there’s a quick way to change that, and reconnect with them. When you get a card, email or gift from someone you haven’t talked to in a while, pick up the phone and give them a quick call. Just a “Thanks for thinking of me” will put you top of mind again. And you can use that opportunity to see how they’re doing, set up a time to meet for coffee, etc.

man-cellphoneYou (probably!) won’t get swamped with a massive amount everyday, so it should be pretty easy to keep up with them. And they’ll appreciate that you noticed and took the time  to thank them. People like to feel appreciated – so get busy appreciating!

Rich:  I'm always looking for ways to keep my business more personal.  It gets harder and harder to do as relationships now are many times forged through technology ... cell, fax, email, text ... and not as much "face time".  The more opportunity I can create for that personal touch, the better.  Thanks for pointing out another way to accomplish that.  It's appreciated ...

Good post Rich!  In my opinion, as long as we keep in touch with our database either phone, fax, email or personal visit, counts.  Obviously the more personal we get the better and stronger relationship would become.  I agree with Gene's comment.
