Airport

I ask this question as a metaphor for business networking.  I find that people often take one of two approaches to networking.

1. They enthusiastically dive right in and start helping other people and setting up their network of referral partners.

2. They timidly stand back and evaluate what everyone else is doing to see if it’s [...Click Here To Read The Rest On IdeaBox]

I once belonged to a "Pay to Play" networking group that was filled with 2's. At first I was confused. Why pay so much money to be part of a group and then become a wallflower. I concluded that some people pay to be part of these groups with hope that it will somehow be more productive than past free groups that they have participated in. They never realize that it wasn't the group that was the problem. They themselves were the problem.

Ted - So true!  Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Mark - If only everyone held themselves accountable for their success....there would be a lot more successful people!  If you're not excited about your business, you can't really expect anyone else to be?  Thanks a lot for your comments!
