Are Your Real Estate Blog Posts Providing ALL the Answers?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Dakno Marketing

Before I answer that question, let me tell you how this post came to be. Where do you dig up your post ideas? For me, this post had its genesis as a result of an email I recently sent to one of our real estate website clients and Iowa City real estate agent Toni Rubin. Toni had a question about writing content for a blog page she was creating for her new Iowa City Blog Dakno designed and built for her.

Turn Your Blog Green! Recycle Emails Into Blog Posts!

How about you? Have you ever recycled an email and turned it into a blog post? If you haven't, you should! I suggest you take a peek in your sent folder of your email client and find that email you constantly use to answer the same question over and over again. You may discover the best post you may ever write has already been written! It's just sitting in your sent folder of your email client dying to be shared with your prospects, past clients, and current clients.

Get the Google Juice!

That way everyone can benefit from the information. Plus, you gain the benefit (Google Juice) of adding fresh, original content to your website or blog.

No More Writers Block!

Thank you Toni for being the inspiration behind this post! After reading this post, you have no more excuses about experiencing "writers block"!

Now Back to the Topic at Hand - Posts That Provide ALL the Answers!

One importanrt concept to note about creating content whether it’s for a blog or a website, be sure your post or article answers these important questions:

  1. The what
  2. The who
  3. The why
  4. The when
  5. The where
  6. The how

I think just about anything that occurs in our real estate day can be blog fodder.  It is just in how you decide to use it.  Education for consumers and/or other agents is a great way to build credibility.

I do this all the time.  It's the best source of topics - the questions regular folks are asking.  If you cruise through the statistics pages on your AR acount, you will quickly see which types of posts get the most reader clicks.  The Q&A posts always rank high for me.

Good Stuff as always Bobby!  I am constantly shocked when people say they have nothing to write about!  The possibilities are endless.  Just like you, I tell people all the time to look at the mailbox & see what questions they answer regularly.  They are great topics for posts.  Good Stuff!

I agree. I've gotten in the habit of either copying an email with notes into my blog folder so later when I'm writing, my idea is already there.

Bobby, Good point on recycling email stock.  I have done this.  Good sources also include Q&A sites- see what consumers are wondering about and asking about in real estate and provide the answers.

Bobby, It is true that the power of the web is that you can answer the question and make it available to people by driving them to your blog or website for the answer, this also gives you the traffic and gets people to visit your website where there are other articles and tools for them. It is just a smart strategy.
